</div><div>Hi All , eventually replaced my troublesome 2013 Ftype V6S about a week ago with a low millage 2014 plate.. I'm overall very happy with the car and its worlds apart in terms of how it drives. However I noticed pretty soon that I seem to have a miss-match of colour going on , I'm not sure how well this picture will highlight the problem , but the Italian Racing Red looks nice and deep on the front bumper , however the bonnet looks like its reaching almost a pink tone when you look at it. I rang the dealer the next day and said "look this just don't look right to me" and got the immediate response/excuse that different surfaces react different to paint.. Its not really an excuse I take on board as the car I chopped in was the same Italian Racing Red and the colour was a deep red all over the car.. The wings seem ok, just seems the bonnet and some areas on the boot..</div><div><br></div><div>I know we had a post a while ago about miss-match with the firesand paint.. did anyone get any resolve ?</div><div>Regards</div><div>Steve</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/325/ftypebonnet2.jpg" height="700" width="393" border="0" /></div>

not according to the dealer , I bough the car with 7k on the clock</div><div><font style=": rgb255, 255, 255;">previous owner bough the car from this dealer as new , was serviced at 3k , and serviced at 7k from the same dealer , and they basically said nothing has been done bodywork wise since new.. </font></div><div><font style=": rgb255, 255, 255;"><br></font></div>

there does appear to be a huge difference, have a look at it at night under a street light, this should really show the difference, and if its a respray this will show it up..............there is always the possibility the car was damaged at source at jaguar

<div>
Yeah you can see the difference at night , just with it parked on the drive in low light.. the bumper colour to me looks correct , the nice deep rich red colour , it is the bonnet colour that dosnt look right to me , its like someone has tried to machine polish it and took the colour out of it</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

before the dealer starts mucking about with it, might be worthwhile getting a good detailer or good paint shop in and see what they think<br /><br />would give you more evidence if you need force dealer to do anything

Don't seem right to me, and the dealer is giving you BS about the different surfaces, what planet is he on?

<div>
yeah had the usual rubbish "we did a full PDI check when we took the vehicle in etc and didn't notice anything"... I swear all they do on the PDI check is make sure it has 4 wheels on the car.. </div><div><br></div><div>Every tyre was inflated (overinflated) to different pressures when I checked that also.. think that would be basic check on a PDI</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

Feel for you mate, the crap you have had to put up with the previous car and now this!!! Keep listening to your heart like the rest of us, we love this car, hang in there bud.

<div>
Yeah its like when it was painted It needed an extra spoonful of Italian racing red powder adding to mix. It might be a problem that can be easily sorted with some detailing product but I'm reluctant to start attacking the car with various products..</div><div><br></div><div>Sideways on looks the business , and when its not got direct sunlight on , looks the business , just this miss-match between bumper and bonnet makes it stick out</div><div><br></div>

That is awful on any car you have paid good money for. I would insist in was sorted urgently.<br />Good luck,<br />Steve.
