What have you done to your F Type today?

Completed my Sports steering wheel project - bought a flat bottom wheel off eBay and had it retriimmed at Royal’s who always do a fantastic job. Really pleased with the end result.

Looks stunning. How's the heating element? Read a few comments that with the thicker leather they use it's not as warm.

Replaced the Shark Fin easy DIY job. £120 with next day delivery from Britcar. Satnav is now working correctly.

Decontaminated paint work washed and 1 stage polish over the last 2 days.

Thank you! It is not the leather that is thicker, rather that they do not remove the original leather on a heated F-Type wheel. Royals told me it is too risky in terms of damaging the heating element. It is probably 30% cooler than stock, but it felt fine with the roof down this morning. All good!

Love the wheel, is it easy to remove/replace?

In other news, spent several thousand pounds getting a few things sorted on the V8, supercharger nose/water pump/belts/pulleys .... in case you wondered a supercharged V8 is quite a bit quicker with the supercharger connected ;)

Trickiest bit is the airbag release clips - they take a bit of getting too, but the rest is simple. Just need to ensure the clock spring is not moved too much.

Got the car a 36mth/48000 mile serviced today by a local Indy specialist, even though its only done 10670 miles from new.

I don't know where my original post went so I'll try again I hope It doesn't appear anywhere else but apologies If I repeat myself,,,,I'm sure that Jaguar will be a bit annoyed they never thought of this and charged a good few quid for it I just fitted mine and it's a lovely neat and tidy fit well worth £20 odd for.

Had a gentle run for 142 miles, averaged 64mph, fuel consumption 36.7mpg. Incredible for a supercharged V8.

I really enjoy a gentle motorway cruise in my V8 R P575 with the cruise control set at 65mph! Everyone overtaking whilst smug me is comfy and chill with absolutely nothing to prove to anyone! And doing around 35mpg too.

The dreaded loose window trim! I’ve spent a few hours this afternoon carefully lifting it and removing all the old tape and gloopy glue, getting it perfectly clean and prepared, ready for 3M VHB 6mm tape arriving tomorrow from Amazon to get it firmly stuck down again. A proper faff, but worth it. I’ll have it perfectly attached again by tomorrow evening!

That looks fantastic! I’m jealous! My V8 R has a round steering wheel - you might have just caused me to spend more ££ on mine than I admit to Mrs W!

Nice job!

I just noticed the orange lines on the glass. Looks like some antenna wires. I don't have them and I can't remember seeing them on other F-Types.

Yes, indeed is an antenna in the glass. Mine is MY21. Maybe DAB radio antenna?
