Hi folks. I am looking to buy an electric tyre inflator. There appears to be a huge price range. Can anyone recommend a brand or model please.

Hi I've always used an inflator from Ring. Just plugs into cigarette lighter and away you go Reasonably priced too

Good luck

Do you want one that plugs in or is rechargeable (wire free)? Pros and cons for both, but worth thinking about.

Kids recently bought me a Ryobi cordless for £99 .Which is a doddle to go around each wheel, as it also has a push-on connector rather than screw-on, plus it's massively quicker at inflating. Two minute job for 4 tyres rather than 10 minutes.

Half of the cost, is for the battery a bare tool without battery much cheaper), so if you already have cordless tools I'd look for one that uses the brand/battery you already have.

That was my choice, too. It's a bit noisy when it's working, but quieter than the F-Type! And it has a light so you can see what you're doing in the dark. I always run my engine while I'm inflating, so as not to run the battery down.

I went with the Dewalt DCC018N-XJ 18V Li-Ion XR Cordless Inflator. I had a spare battery so was an easy choice for me.
More expensive than some but fantastic bit of kit. Dial in the pressure, connect via screw on connector, hit go and leave it alone. Cordless means no more messing with plugging in. Does my hgv tyres Jeeps and the rest of the cars in a few minutes each. Plug in as a back up.
