Plastic underbody protection on SVR

The scuff marks are in fact the remains of the part sticker so no worries there, the main concern is the lack of mechanical fixings which are replaced by cable ties and the missing part or parts that it is supposed to bolt to.
As said the panel could drop, catch the road and cause more damage further back.

As they’ve bodged that panel and parts are missing, I would be asking what else have they bodged or what else is missing? I would want a thorough independent inspection of the whole car.

Hope it all gets sorted to your satisfaction.

Agree, the Jaguar dealer should be very embarrassed to sell you a car in that condition. Good luck it getting it resolved.

The main dealers want it back for repairs, but they are too far away so they suggested a more local dealership and they will stand the costs. I declined that also and asked them to send the missing parts to me and I will fit them - without zip ties!!!
It’s also missing the locking wheel nuts so they are sending a set of those as well.
There is no warning triangle in the boot or fire extinguisher but not sure if they are included, does anyone know?
Thanks for all your support so far.

I think they're options - I don't have them in my R AWD.

Would be interesting to know why this underbody panel was removed in the first instance, when the car that only has only done 1800 miles. I know there are issues with rear diffs, but not for cars with that milage.

Sounds like they have gone over something and broken it, did a dodgy temporary repair and just forgot to do a proper fix.

How do I do a history check?
This seems a good idea, I may get a bit nearer to the reasons why!

Hi, um...... To confirm yours is the red SVR ending "VOO" and is car "67967" (last 5 digits of VIN in the window).
I have some history for you. I cannot confirm it is 100% correct but looks like your car as it shows the reg! I hope it isn't though.
Would you like it posting here? Or privately on PM?

Can you post it privately please, I have a little bit of dread reading that.

I will PM you now. Really sorry.

NOTE I cannot send you pictures on PM but happy to email you if it remains confidential otherwise Jaguar will be after me! I will give you my email address on the PM.

Im mpressed SimpleR.... excellent detective work, which I hope will add ammunition for Hazbean to confront the dealer.

I'm under a strict NDA with Hazbean after sharing info and having a chat!
I'm sure he will post back with a suitable update once all sorted.

Just a quick update, many thanks to SimpleR for his excellent research, I couldn’t have found all the information without his help.
The dealer has offered me an extra years warranty on the car and has also offered to send up the missing parts to me to be fitted by a dealer at their expense.
The dealer still has not got an answer as to why the diff guard has been fastened by 4 zip ties but admits it was “demonstrated” as a press car on the ice in Sweden but not raced!
I do have pictures of several red F types all at the same ice driving experience event, all British with their plates readable if anyone else wants to check theirs. All have “O” plates.
I will post more when the parts arrive and are fitted.

Was reading elsewhere that lot's of OE plates, or OV, registered Oxford are press cars, magazine cars, exhibition cars, jaguar mgmt. An OV XJ was used in Skyfall according to another forum.
