Few photos of the facelift for everyone;
Dash and infotainment - very nice in my opinion. Everything else is open to interpretation

I like the cross bar delete and the new intakes are better than the current ones but not as good as the originals.

The rest looks like a botched plastic surgery, although it may grow on me over time

Oh no!!
I was waiting for real world photos and if this is it in a grey colour then sorry, but it’s horrible. The front end has gone flat and featureless
Don’t like the rear lights either, notched rather than curbed
What a shame as seems change for change, but manufacturers have to do it..

It's a big fat NO from me too. 🙁

No sexy curves on the front, and the air intakes clash with the slitty lights.

Digital dash doesn't look as good as Audi. I prefer my old-school dials.

It looks so flat at the front - it also accentuates the end of the bonnet and beginning of the bumper - not convinced.

It doesn’t look like a Jaguar and it looks like it has no soul. My opinion. The rear got worse too with those angles on the lights.

“Well putting the plastic vents in the nose cone didn’t work, let’s try them in the bonnet.”

So poorly executed I’m gobsmacked.

Edit:
And that horizontal line going right across the front makes it look like a badly assembled Airfix kit!

No more Jaguar but more Whale shark

I’m trying to like it but it really isn’t doing it for me.
I’m hoping, in around 2022, Jaguar will be bringing out the F type replacement - something like the CX 75, mid engined and probably a hybrid at the least. I’ll likely be coming back to Jaguar, if they do. Until then, no no no

I can't make up my mind about this. I don't hate it and it doesn't have the oooh very very nice factor. There are elements I like, such as the grille and the intakes. The lights erm well Ok, but I think the bonnet is the bit that's not quite working.

The power bulge is a bit lost and might look better if it was more pronounced perhaps tapering wider as it goes back. The vents are too far forward and should be further back, as they draw the eye too far down and don't accentuate the long bonnet. E.g Mustang which is very similar but hangs together just a little better.

I think I'll just wait and see if it grows on me. I hesitate, remembering many XK8 owners at meets who were quick to mention that my new fangled F type wasn't a proper Jaguar and lacked the elegance of the previous car.

I've now worked out why I don't like it having sat and compared to cars most would say were good looking e.g. DB9. It the fact the lights dont sit higher and slightly back from the grille. That arrangement makes for a sharper looking nose and brings the nose together from the widest point at the wheel arches. This one looks like it bulges from the wheel arch forward. Its lacks elegance, but equally one persons elegance is another's tired backward design. Fine balance but they've not got this right.
