Jaguar introduces new logo for the brand

JLR has a placeholder in their website for Tuesday 3rd, so I'm guessing they'll upload something then and also release press embargo on it.

Have you got a link for this? Searched and can find nothing.

I was just following various threads this morning from here:
https://media.jaguar.com/news/2024/11/jaguar-bold-dramatic-fearless-0

The link half way down the page to Jaguar site: www.jaguar.com/copy‑nothing media had a blank placeholder and space with Tuesday's date, however the link is no longer working

Date has changed on Jaguar UK website. From 2nd to the 3rd. Might be because of time difference.

We're here to delete ordinary.
To go bold. To copy nothing.
03 Dec 2024.

But looking forward to seeing whatever is being planned and/or revealed.

If that came from RR I might be impressed, but you just can’t get past the kitchen hob extractor back end.

Certainly looks like a car for people who don’t have to worry about a parking space and looks like something that rudimentary AI might have come up with rather than an elegant flowing design with some soul.

Your view may vary…

Even if I was in the money for such a vehicle, there is no way I'd buy one of these if this is even close to how it is going to look. Not a chance.

"Copy Nothing" except Tesla's ability to build a butt-ugly vehicle with a ruler. Honestly, this is not pretty by any metric IMHO but no doubt some people will love it and all power to them.

The grille design at the rear might be the AC unit for the inevitable rear-seat champagne cooler 😂

More a case of, what the Prosecco??!! 😂

I think the appeal of this car, to some, will be it being massive, having massive wheels, and shifting rather quickly.

And when seen in black, grey, silver etc it will perhaps have a different impact.

I kind of like it. Not in pink though. And not for £130k+. And not in electric. But it looks good.

NASCAR mean looking front end.

Is this a seat? So your chauffeur has somewhere to sit whilst it chargers? (Instead of chatting to the very important person in the back).

Obviously a concept and will be nothing like it when and if it ever launches. Drag coefficient of a house etc.

Cannot find anything online about the event other than these leaked pictures which might not even be whatever they are planning on doing in what is left of today. 2nd Dec.
Perhaps Copy Nothing should be Doing Nothing. Or now worried what everyone will say following the initial advert.

+1 for me. Looks different. Come on Jaguar, show us what you have been working on for years that isn't available until 2026.

So we await with baited breath the launch. I'm intrigued to see what the concept actually looks like and if it's something can could with a bit of engineering input actually be built. I genuinely hope it's great.

Meanwhile I thought I'd share this link to a BMW advert that came my way today. Not for whether you like the cars or not, but as a reflection on what JLR have done Vs what BMW have done that to me feels so much better:

https://discover.bmw.co.uk/article/bmw-vogue-forces-for-change?hucid=f01559fb5fa30c910a749e6d0e5b7ac77fd4ff8ea5dc605015a33866d93b6950&hemaid=d5f8fe8732b1fa52e2ac8833332ed6549bb5adde3205145f212d8778e69de053&cid=bmwDM1900204&bid=1999422295&tl=eml-nsp-BMW_UK_News_eNews_November_2024/bmwOP24480-ecrm-mn-.-BMW_UK_All_News_Nov_2024_GEN/bmwDM1900204-1-20241202-.-Engagement-no%20blue%20print-1-bmwOP24480-.-.

They have sponsorship and working with Vogue, so have the fashion element.
Lots of fancy tag lines of collaboration, innovation, future, etc.
Managed to actually include lots of design concept pictures, future direction, for their cars..
Have a diversity element (and a photo in the same manner as JLR, but in normal clothes)..
No evidence they intend to alienate their customers, nor handed the factory over.
Celebration of decades of collaboration and no attempt to alienate anyone.

Yes, I have and do own many JLR's and BMW's so with a foot in both camps it's fair to say I can see which is more appealing as a future and direction

This sums up my feelings too. I actually like the styling and think it's quite 'Jaguar' in some ways. It's got something of a hyper-modern XJS about it, especially in profile and to some extent in the wide-set front end.

How the concept will translate to a production car is another matter - that's not always been Jaguar's forte.

And I think the branding is catastrophically wrong to compete with premium luxury brands that are built on their heritage. Looking at online reactions, the damage from that has probably already been done, sadly.

"Live event" is 1am UK time (Tuesday 3rd).
(2 hours time).

Although I can find no link. So presume it's just an unveiling in the Miami art centre.

On LinkedIn, one of the Jag engineers said it would be on their ticktock, Instagram and you tube accounts.

Though I just looked on their YouTube and there wasn't a placeholder so who knows
