hi guys , i m new to a v6s, can you please share your knowledge on the best independant places to get my jag looked after in or around london , btw its still under the jag warranty , cheers

Congrats on the new V6S great car, I think you’ll find to comply with Jag Warranty you’ll need to get it main dealer serviced, how much longer does the warranty run for?

You can use Jag Indies and still ok with the warranty.

Thanks, I read incorrect information then, but I’ve been concerned it might affect resale value if it’s not main dealer serviced under Jaguar warranty so I took that route for peace of mind anyway.
I’ll take a look at a local Indy in June when my extended warranty expires and my next service is due.

You would like to think that an F-Type buyer had the understanding of a quality independent FSH and wasn’t coming from a car with an Arnold Clark sticker and box of tissues in the back window.

I take your point but that said for peace of mind I decided to keep mine to main dealer servicing until it was out of warranty.

Yep, I took the same approach too - in my experience it makes any warranty work go that much more smoothly if you have dealer FSH and Jag warranty. It's worked out very well for me - just got the car back from its latest service and had 4 items sorted under warranty with absolutely no quibble. I do wonder if the dealers are happy to push the "in-house" warranty items to keep their workshops busy.

thanks for the discussions guys , i m coming from porsche where the indy guys are almost certainly better than the franchises , the warranty runs till nov and i understand it you can take it to specialists , would love some recommendations for highly regarded indy's though as i ve no knowledge on the jag scene, cheers
