First timer

Would the dealership find out? When I had my XFS the forum for that model was sponsored by a company called Spires which apparently had a good reputation for remapping the V6 diesel & increasing its power from 275 to 305bhp for around £850. This included re doing the work if a dealer ever changed it back to the original state. Not something I ever felt the need to do because I'd had too many engine problems with the car from new so once Jag had eventually ironed out these I didn't feel it wise to mess about with things.<br />Be nice to have a V6 F-type that goes like a V8 though!

I think the remap would void warranties, if there was an explosion perhaps!? <div><br></div><div>I think the engines run very conservatively in these cars anyway judging on the torques and Horses they are pulling out of the V8 lump with just a pulley change on the blower and a remap....</div>

<blockquote> I chose the 340hp V6 instead of the V6S as the performance was similar and the exhaust was more subtle<br /><br />There have been two 340hp British Racing Green metallic F type Coupes with camel interior delivered by the dealer in Basingstoke ( Harwoods) - they may have photographs of the car ( Simon in sales 01256 316800) <br /><br />I have had my 340hp V6 Coupe for 5 months now and it is terrific </blockquote> <br /><br />Thanks. Just back from a trip abroad. I will get in touch with the dealer on Monday.<br /><br />Thanks

<blockquote><div> </div><div>I also bought the silver cyclones, but I wanted them chromed, no chance, so instead I have had them polished, just waiting to put the tyres back on, now I am not sure what to do ! I like the car with the blacks cyclones I purchased extra, but the polished will look great for shows !!</div><div> </div><div>best regards</div><div>Jamie</div><div> </div>

<div> </div><div>Sorry to hijack, but saw these and thought of you Jamie! Aren't they lovely?</div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/332/f-type-coupe-wheel.gif" height="467" width="700" border="0" /></div>

Luurve the paint colour too! Is that a new option? If so I must buy more lottery tickets so I can afford to get another F (have to have two 'cos I couldn't bear to get rid of the white one)!

<div> </div><div>You could always 'wrap it' to see if you could live with it?</div><div> </div><div>I have seriously been thinking of a metallic blue, however I have red seats, and that would look ghastly together <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley5.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Confused" title="Confused" /></div>

Not to sure Tel, a bit cluttered with the black bit, but each to their own, like the tyres though !<div><br></div><div>my wheels are back !!</div><div><br></div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/78/F-Type01.jpg" height="470" width="700" border="0" /><br></div>

Stunning Wheels!<br><br>BRG with Camel interior in premium leather was my 2nd choice (I ordered Rhodium Silver with Cirrus/Jet Mineral Stitch). I ordered the 19" Propeller wheels, maybe I should polish them up too??<br><br>I saw the coupe in BRG with Camel at the Castle Bromwich Factory tour: stunning combination; almost changed my order. 70 days till delivery, not that I'm counting. Build date is December 19th.<br>

I'm hesitating. Buy a V6 now, or wait 1year and get the V6S AWD. As I will be able to afford it then. As I'm only interested in buying this car in BRG/Camel, the options are about £ 10000. Patience or do I plunge? I live in the Alps and already have a AWD Subaru.

Thankyou, indeed the option of waiting is the most rational. But I could also by the AWD in 4 years? And start with the V6. ... And work my way up to the V8 AWD in due course
