I thought i'd treat myself to a new reg no. (like i haven't been VERY kind to myself already!). I don't go for names/initials etc - for me it's all about the car. Anyway, I thought it was quite obvious when i bought it but some of my friends (and the wife) didn't seem to get it at first... Opinions?

Not bad, albeit slightly cryptic 😄 At least correct font & spacing.

I don't get the "3" bit, but that's maybe since I'm not a native speaker..

I think 1 TYPF would be clear, unless you had more then one, 2TYPF, 3TYPF... :P

It's the registration format, single letter denoting year of registration (1960+ format), 1 to 3 digits, then 3 letters. Registraton of single digit and letters only tend to be very expensive (e.g. "F1").

I’m a ‘new boy’ F Type owner and I am blown away by the awesome examples here in the gallery....!!!
I still think my new (to me) car is great even with all the amazing other high spec cars on here.
Currently just putting a few miles on the car on days when the sun comes out 😂🌴 Living in Scotland that should take care of keeping my mileage down !

Welcome to the club! And all F-Types are great, regardless of spec. ;)

Beautiful car & very nice number plate. I’d be tempted to swop to the larger rear ‘shaped’ plate. It fits the area better & would showcase the 5 digits better. Just my humble opinion.

Mine is also sunny weekends only. Still get goosebumps every time I drive it. BBC weather app is full ☀️ on Saturday. Better get planning a drive out 👍

Welcome to the forum & enjoy your new toy 😄

I agree. Nice car and plate. And I think I might go big shaped plate too. Any recomendations as to where is best to buy one?

The dealer had swapped the original plate on mine before I picked it up for a big one with their name on - I hated it and demanded they changed it to a smaller one which, IMO, looked much better. To each his own. ;)

Indeed.
I have had big bits of yellow plastic before on other cars but prefer less of the plate showing and more of the car- just the way I see things myself 😁
Certainly not keen on the dealer plates they fit usually as they are not always fitted with proper care and symmetrical drill holes..... jeez I’m starting to sound I bit OCD 🤕🤪
Looking forward to a decent weekends drive around 🚙
