48month service costs

Morning,

My V8R needs a 64,000 mile service ( 4 years).

It is on jaguar warranty so I'll be using my dealer and I'm currently waiting to hear back for costs etc.

Has anyone had this service recently? If so can I ask what you paid please?

Many thanks

D

My dealer is Inchcape and they offer the Jaguar fixed price scheme for cars over 3 years old.

If your local dealer doesn't you could always check out others in reasonable distance.

If you want options such as brake fluid that is extra - although I got my dealer to include it in the cost, along with new fob battery.

With so many people trying to get their car booked in now you may not get such a good deal but no harm in asking.

I had mine MOT'd yesterday, so only a couple of weeks overdue.

No doubt many people will just wait 6 months - likely to be the ones who's cars fail on worn tyres etc. unfortunately.

Let us know how you get on.

You can use a Jaguar Indi garage for servicing and even warranty repairs, and still retain the Jaguar warranty cover.

Should be £445 as per JLR's fixed price servicing.
No reason/excuse for them to charge more if they are a registered JLR dealer.

Finally got a call back, pointed out the document on their own website and now the bill will be £385 inc vat. Result. Thanks folks.

Good news David :)

It's always good to help people save money and sort issues - it's the heart of the forum!

Thanks to this thread I started questioning the £699 I was charged last week for a major service. My dealer is Guy Salmon in Maidstone. They are a part of the Sytner group. Sytner group advertise a similar fixed price scheme to JLR but its a little cheaper - my service shows as £385.

I fired off an email to Sytner and the next day (yesterday) got a very apologetic reply from Maidstone direct - they are refunding the difference. Result!!

Great result!

I paid £600 at Hatfields Sheffield last week. After reading this thread I have queried it.
The reply I got, was that Jaguar suspended this programme in March following covid 19.
It is something Jaguar subsidise the cost of

Hi all,

Just had a call from my local JLR main agent, Grange in Hatfield and they quoted £1,050 for my 6 yr service. I asked what the big ticket items were and they said just spark plugs, the rest is oils, gaskets, filters etc. Seems a lot to me so will be getting quotes from independents.

Just checked online and most JLR dealerships are showing the fixed price servicing on their websites with no change in cost over the chart showing in previous posts.
Suggest shopping around for a dealer that offers this.

Just had my 6yr service done at a local independent main service and 8 spark plugs£537.So it just goes to show how much the dealers are ripping people off sometimes.
