Looking at the service sheet mine includedTimbo said:What are you guys being qouted for thats extra above and beyond a normal service.
I know NAC63 had spark plugs done, (dont know why though as they're good for 100k)

No need? Those fancy buildings and the "free" coffee don't pay for themselves!![]()
I sent them a link to this thread. That's when they replied that Jaguar had suspended the fixed price deal.JurassicF said:GBH, I would print off the Jaguar Fixed Price service menu. When you do that it shows the dealer name on it.
Take a couple in, it would prove that this is still active by most decent JLR dealers and their approach will certainly loose them service business as it it being discussed on JLR forums.
i think its 4 years or 100,000 miles. 4 years is safeguarding the plugs from seizing in the head i believe, the plugs would be fine if put back in with a tiny bit of copper grease but if they were out i would replace anyway.Timbo said:What are you guys being qouted for thats extra above and beyond a normal service.

I have also sent a PM to Pete on here at customer relations asking if they had stopped the fixed price servicing.
To be honest I didn't mind too much the price quoted, its those small things like screen washer fluid and WD40 that annoyed me.
I managed to get the drivers side window done which was scratched. Jaguar paid 80% of the cost but not the labour.

With an AWD Over the 10 year life there’s a lot of transmission oil changes, including transfer box, rear diff, front diff and auto box.
I’ve just had a three year service which included transfer box oil change.

DaddyDarren said:My point in another thread. Not sure some main dealer services are all that. Oil/filter change, fluid top up, that’s it.
The independent I’ve just used questioned some of the omissions on my service record. Some tasks that should’ve been carried out weren’t.

Lunar said:On the Fixed Menu pricing there is a separate column for brake fluid change.
This is because there is no set period of time when to change the fluid, it doesn't work like that. Some people would take your money every 2 years, some would say 5 years.
The best way to do it is to get yourself a brake fluid tester or simply ask the garage to check the water content. 1-2% is fine, but more than that and it is better to play safe than to hang on until you get 4%.
