What social class do the owners of F-type belong to?

Working class. Not even management level.

Ordinary Joe.

That said, don't confuse social class and standing with Class and Taste per se. I know many people who may not be the fiscally wealthy, but exude class, elegance and good taste.
Class is not something one can acquire or learn. You either have it or you don't, and if you don't, associate oneself with class and some of it will rub off on you.
Money does not equal class, good taste or good manners, although it does afford one the ability to acquire an ivy league education which no doubt helps in learning these refinements.
Life has taught me this this over the past 47 years.
Money often breeds arrogance and crassness.

That said, I've lived with having money and not having it and hand on heart, life is better with money.

I have a great respect for anyone that's lead an ordinary existence and worked hard to acquire something as "useless" as a sports car (eye candy) and fulfill a dream and appreciate it for all it's worth. I admire and respect anyone that's able to afford such luxuries period, but more so to those who've had to work for it. working for something as opposed to inheriting it help's one appreciate it more.

Excuse the philippic for what is a simple question

Having Googled the UK social classes it would appear I am middle class by definition.

However, having worked all my life, didn't go university and average grades and everything we have has been acquired by hard work, and with the cost of living crisis I feel working class would be a better description!

I’d fit within simpleR’s above classification. Worked hard for everything I have whilst knowing I’ve been fortunate to have had a bit of luck along the way!
They do say you make your own luck though 🍀 whoever they are!! 😊

Probably working class here, too. Or maybe lower middle class?

But, having been out of work for 12 months, I'm not even sure I qualify as working class anymore! 🙄

I've been there - without work - twice and for long periods +12 months. You're fortunate to hang on to your car.

I haven't looked into this before, but did a few tests and seem to be between established middle class and technical middle class. Not sure how accurate these tests are.

I've never really bothered with social class definitions, but following SCM's example I did some research and strangely I appear to have evolved:

Started as working class. Left school ordinary guy with a few A levels, no university education, clerical bank job, etc. 1963 Mini :)
Worked to middle with extensive post uni education covering MBA, FCIM and several more. Endless fleet of better company cars senior global roles ending with the Saab' Volvo, BMW, and built my own consultancy.
Strangely latterly to be classed as upper middle class or upper class, based upon income, acquired wealth, assets, lifestyle, education, etc.
I'll settle as middle class, but well planted in my origins and where I am but for the grace of god and you'll still find me with spanner in hand or knee deep in mud in a Jeep, when not enjoying the F Type :)

According to the BBC's Great British Class Calculator (link below) I am in what's called the "Elite". Basically it's all complete bullshit if that is anything to go by.

It really depends on your definition of class though I guess. Are we talking financial, cultural, the way you act and conduct yourself in public? All of the above?

I'm from a working class background (Dad worked shift as engineering maintenance at a factory and Mum was a cleaner). I was heading down a similarish path doing an engineering apprenticeship, but I went on to do a degree and have moved onwards and upwards. I'm not management but I'd say I'm in an equivalent technical role. My wife on the other hand was raised firmly in the upper class going to private school, riding horses, had a tennis coach, private tutors, summers in Italy etc etc. I'd say I've dragged her down from upper and she's pulled me up from lower and we met in the middle. I like to think that because of where I came from vs my job and being around my wife and her family I've developed a bit of a Chameleon approach where I can turn it on and off depending on who I'm with.

Definitely working class ex miner and ass site manager construction industry now retired grafted for everything I’ve got.

Ah the British class system... I don't think anyone really knows what class we're supposed to be in.
It depends on who's perspective your looking from I suppose.

(The BBC calculator recons I'm "Technical middle class")

Low, hard-working class in Brazil turned "Established Middle Class" in Britain, after 17 years turning a local family-owned technology business around. (Source BBC).

Lots of tears, sweat and blood in my 20s and 30s, pops and bangs now in my 40s! 😎

More importantly, absolutely grateful, to God and the people who took a chance on me.

You never classified yourself Barend. Reckon there must be a plum or two in your mouth 😜

I'm thoroughly working class and like others said I've earned everything I've had from life including my recent F Type. It's been a big help being technically minded and a career in oil & gas. Been a lot of graft for a lot of years but absolutely no complaints :D

Although the 4 Yorkshiremen sketch is associated wit Monty Python it was actually written for the At Last the 1948 Show (starring the lovely Aimi MacDonald) and Tim Brook-Taylor was involved in the writing.

According to the BBC (whose motto is a bit like the Daily Wail: "Why let the facts get in the way of a good story"), I'm Technical Middle Class so will take that. It's all twaddle, and how you treat other people really is the gauge

Another one who the BBC term as “Technical middle class”, not really as still working after nearly 47 years!
