Vacuum Cleaner

I hope this is ok as it’s not strictly f-type related but I will be using it to clean an f-type!

My G-Tech car vacuum has given up the ghost so I’m looking for a new vacuum cleaner for the car. I wanted to buy a Ridgid wet and dry but they only work on 110V so that’s out. I also have a Mercedes GLC for transporting the family and dogs, so I need something that can deal with dog hair.

Can anybody recommend a good vacuum that can deal with general cleaning and dog hair? I’ve read what seems like hundreds of reviews but they’re all contradictory and probably paid for too, so looking for some real world reviews.

Henry* vacuums are decent and very reliable, and can deal with all sorts. Wonder if it’s worth jumping on a valeter/detailer forum to ask the question as they’ll be the ones to give a more qualified answer?

*Other models including Henrietta are available to be PC, but they may choose to identify as something else

Will in my case it’s been perfect I only brought it for the cars and it’s brilliant. Waste your money on other brands!

Thanks for the replies!

I looked at a few Titan videos on YouTube and although they were impressed with the suction power there were quite a few comments about the low quality of the supplied tools. I don't see any alternative/better quality tools on the screwfix site. Has this caused you any issues?

Quite a few YouTubers are recommending the Craftsman 5 gallon - CMXEVBE17925. It's quite a bit more expensive though. Anybody have experience of this?

I use a Titan vacuum and no issues with it. Suction is really powerful, but very noisy.

I also 'stole' the home Dyson and mounted it and charger just inside the garage. That's the go to for a quick vac. Lots of attachments and small powered tools are perfect. Simply didn't have the battery life to continue to do a whole house, so has a great retirement home now..

I've got a metrovac for car stuff. I can leave the unit at the front and the hoses are long enough to go all the way around. The strength is unparalleled. The vac'n'blow is a good feature too as it can be used as a blow drier

Which Metrovac do you have? The Super Vac ’N‚ Blaster? £780! You must love your car! Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I do not remember paying that much for it. Explains why it's so good

Soo, anyone know how to delete a comment before my Mrs sees it?

While we're on the subject, I've had a Sebo upright bagged mains vacuum cleaner for at least 15 years. A fine unit indeed, I'd recommend the make.
