Today with a mileage of 31417 miles the Cold Oil Level readout shows half full/empty ( for 1096 miles of use which does seem to be excessive, especially as the service interval on miles is 16,000.

Well, Just had a call from the Service Manager of Hatfields Shrewsbury to explain that despite confusion on the Topix Site the Mechanic did put in the correct amount but that the wrong information was given to me when I visited them.
The confusion would appear to be that when checking Topix for the correct amount of oil to be put in it does not clearly show whether or not it is 6.5 or 7.25L or that is what I understood him to be saying perhaps others who have access to Topix will confirm.
Nonetheless, he was most contrite and has offered to top it up whenever I am passing.

The level is, as before, half full, on the gauge.
Hatfields have offered to top it up when passing - as it is not critical at the moment I will wait not wanting to drive some 30 miles just to have it done.
I any way carry 1 litre spare in the boot which I bought when new as I did not know if she was going to use any whilst New when in Europe.
Yes I thoroughly agree does not say much for Hatfields as they also advised me that there was nothing wrong with the Diff, despite it making a noise akin to a cement mixer when turning hard left, but that is another story.

When at Fenn End having a wonderful F Type Day my Jaguar Instructor advised/confirmed that they were hearing endless complaints about Service Centres.
