Hi. I have a super low mileage 2016 F Type convertible and a clumsy mechanic has scuffed off some of the factory applied underseal by the rear jacking point . I would like to touch this up but does anyone now what product the factory used as an underseal - it is painted so maybe 3 M paintable shultz ?

Thanks in advance

Are you referring to the underseal that I've highlighted with a blue arrow pointer in my pic? If so, an excellent product that I use and can recommend is CT1 Sealant & Construction Adhesive. It comes in various colours (I have black), has superb adhesion properties, is hard wearing yet remains flexible, doesn't shrink or crack and lasts for years!

I’ve used it (with great success) for numerous jobs around the house and on cars. This includes repairing underseal which came away from a section inside the wheel arch on my runaround and more recently to repair some slight damage to the engine undertray on my F-Type. It’s doing a grand job and is still holding strong.

Here’s a few links on the CT1...

Thanks , yes this is exactly what I am wanting to repair so will look at the CT1

👍 You won’t go wrong with the CT1. Brush off any dust, remove any loose material and clean the affected area before liberally applying it with a sealant gun then spread with a wet finger. It sticks like shite to a blanket. Use turps to remove any from your hands etc afterwards.

I hope the 'clumsy mechanic' didn’t try to jack the car up where the blue arrow is in my pic!
