I’m not affiliated in any way, but heard good things about Top Marques in Fenton, Stoke on Trent regarding alloy wheel refurbs.
The wheels on my recent F Type purchase all just had a little bubbling starting so I booked in to have them all refurbished.
They offer a service that requires an overnight with the car so two days work. I dropped the car at 09:00 and it was ready at 16:00 the following day.
They removed the wheels using a breaker bar on the locking wheel nuts, not just a pneumatic gun, this preserving the integrity of the locking wheel nut socket.
They then strip the wheels completely, dip them and then bead blast them to remove every trace. The light corrosion under the bubbling on mine was effectively removed with the blasting media so required nothing further to correct it.
The wheels were then powder coated and baked in the original gloss black colour. This has returned them to as new condition.
The tyres and TPMS valves were replaced and a final clean up to leave no traces of that soapy lubricant they use to fit tyres. They then balanced the wheels using black coloured weights which is a really nice touch to preserve their appearance.
The job is superb and they offer a 12 month warranty against defects (of their making). I took the car in for its service straight after and AWJ Automotive in Newcastle Under Lyme ordered new centre caps which was the final touch.
So very pleased with the result and the excellent service from Top Marques.
