Hi,
I've been viewing a 2015 v6 (non S) Coupe with 43K miles on it which is for Sale at an independent dealer.
When I started it up on the forecourt with the bonnet up it sounded quite noisy... like a diesel. After about 5mins of running the car the sound was still there. So I thought it may have been the Supercharger making the sound.
The salesman said that they can get this checked by their mechanic's as it might be the coupler that is causing it.
I've just had a call form the dealer to say their service centre have looked at the car, they removed the SC belt and the noise went away (so that rules out the engine tappets) but they told me the coupler is fine and that the noise is acceptable for a SuperCharger and should quieten down once warmed up and that I should not be concerned.
This all sounds a bit odd to me.
Should I walk and ask for my deposit back??
