I took delivery of a 340 Coupe mid March, having done what research I could. The power curves show that the 340 and 380 are virtually identical in power delivery until 4000rpm then the 380 uses its extra 40 up the rpms to the redline. So unless you plan on screaming around in 1st or 2nd gear (I think you can do over 60mph in 2nd?) you are unlikely so see any difference on the roads 90% of the time. Depending on what you are coming from, the 340 has plenty power, arguably much more useable than the other models up the line.<div><br></div><div>All F Types now have active exhausts, its just you can spec the switch which opens the valves at lower revs (pre 4000). I didn't spec the switch thinking I am far too mature to be frightening grannies on street corners, but this car is such a laugh that I wish I had now. Having said that it still seems to pop on throttle off at lower revs.</div><div><br></div><div>As for delivery, Jaguar seem quite good at exceeding expectations, i.e. delivering on or before the date given on ordering, mine came 2 weeks early, 10 weeks after ordering late Dec. However, it looks like they may be prioritising F Pace builds currently so the wait may be a bit longer now- your dealer should be able to say more on this.</div>
