Help was going to remove my wheels to clean but the locking wheel nut has a dome cover on it ? Is there a tool needed to remove and were can you get one
Thanks

My locking wheel nut adapter is in the boot (coupe) under the battery cover.

Here's a link on the subject.....https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=5740

Thanks got the adapter but need to remove the dome cover to fit the adapter

I wasn't even aware there was a cover for the dome. My adapter fits directly onto the domed lug. Am I missing something??

No the adapter will not fit may have to take to garage unless anyone else has any views ?

Mine's the same, so we might both be missing something!

I can only agree with everyone else. My locking nut is domed shaped and has no cover. Locking nut socket worked fine when I took my wheels off.

When you position the adapter over the locking wheel nut, rotate and wiggle it a bit until it slots into place. Have you tried this?

Can you post a photo of one of the locking wheel nuts and the adapter. Might be someone has replaced one or the other with something different, fitted a non oem cover, or you have the wrong adapter.

Thanks all have found by giving it a wiggle and rotating it it fits just fine as post by RPSN (wife has said that for years).
Thanks again

Bit of a thread resurrection, but like a clown I’ve lost my adaptor, any advice on getting this sorted would be gratefully received, my beautiful Storm alloys are in mint condition so I really don’t want to attempt it myself

You’ve a couple of options.
One - if you have the code letter, look on eBay and see if anyone is selling.
Or - again eBay - search for Jaguar locking wheel nut code - and it should throw up a couple of sellers who will help you identify which code your key is.

PM me if you want any more help….

Good luck

Not sure if you’ve previously made a note of the code for your locking wheel nut adapter?

If not and you have the ‘Service, Warranty & Assistance’ booklet with your car documents (see pic of mine), turn to page 4 ‘Vehicle Details’ and you'll see the section ‘Locking wheel nut number’ which should have been completed to show the code.

Same with mine; no such handbook, just the warranty booklet.

There is a note, at around page 260 of the 300 page manual which helpfully recommends you keep a ‘separate note’ of your adaptor key code.
But, by the time most owners get to read page 260, they’ve already mislaid their locking nut key :?
