It's good to be bad...

Hello everyone!<div><br></div><div>My name is Graham and I've stalked through this forum a couple of times in the past couple of weeks but haven't got around to saying hello until now as I've been too busy enjoying my new F-Type just a little too much... if that's possible.</div><div><br></div><div>The previous drive for me was a V8 Audi S5 and as much as I liked it, it was all just a little too... reserved and businessman like... Anyway, after a few months of car shopping and many journeys to predominantly Porsche and Audi showrooms a trip to a more patriotic brand (and an R Coupe test drive later) the hunt for my new car was finally over.</div><div><br></div><div>Without further ado here she is with me trying to work out whether this is still reality or a fantasy...</div><div><br></div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeownersclub.co.uk/forum/uploads/749/FTR3.jpg" height="480" width="640" border="0" /></div><div><br></div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/749/FTR4.jpg" height="393" width="700" border="0" /></div><div><br></div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/749/FTR2.jpg" height="393" width="700" border="0" /><br></div><div><br></div><div>So... am I enjoying it? <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" /><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" /><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" /></div><div><br></div><div>Even if I've had to utilise the rain/snow mode quite a bit up here in Scotland...!</div><div><br></div><div>For reference it's (obviously) an F-Type R Coupe in Italian racing red!</div><div><br></div><div>What made me go for the F-Type? By comparison to the other cars I had looked at before buying it the F-Type just seemed to be... I want to say dirty? Meaner? I felt it offered a much more fun and dynamic experience! Not to mention the main competitor on the radar was a 991 911 and you see them everywhere now already. I have noticed this car garners quite a lot of attention on the road as well!</div><div><br></div><div>And, call me bias, but it just is one of the most beautiful cars on the road today and I've followed it since launch. I just never thought I'd be owning one so soon!</div><div><br></div><div><span style="line-height: 1.4;">Anyway, if you made it this far down past the pictures, thanks for reading and looking forward to speaking to you all!</span></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

Welcome Graham and thanks for sharing. It really is beauty and the beast all rolled into one.... Enjoy it and once again welcome.

Welcome Graham to the F-Type clan!!! Thanks for sharing your detailed journey to finally owning the F-Type, it somewhat reinstates the reason I bought mine even though I hadn't considered or even test driven any other sports car what so ever. It was love at first sight when I saw the F-Type back in 2013, I saw the Jaguar ad with Damien Lewis and thought maybe one day I would like to own one. Then I saw the Top Gear review that Jeremy Clarkson on the Jag and after watching that it wasn't a maybe anymore, it was I WANT ONE!!!!! From that point onwards it was decided that the F-Type would be my very first sports car...and probably my last.<div>Enjoy the beauty Graham, even on milk float mode (rain and snow)!!!<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /></div>

Great intro Graham! Welcome.<br><br>There's no denying that they stir the automotive passions like virtually no other new car out there.<br><br>I'm liking the Union Jack flag on the back window, by the way...<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" alt="Thumbs Up" title="Thumbs Up" /><br>

Welcome :) Unfortunately you are now stuck with that grin for at least a year, I can't still believe she's mine most mornings. Vroom vroom!

welcome Graham - thanks for the photos and great to hear how you came to buy this fabulous car.<div><br></div><div>Looks brilliant in IRR - had mine for over a year and now 20,000 miles and I can say with complete certainty it is without doubt the best car I have every owned - still makes me smile every time i drive it </div>

Well done Graham, I am picking up an IRR V6S from Pentland Jaguar in Perth next week. The red ones are faster!<br />Steve.

<div>Are IRR's faster than Caldera red?<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /></div>

<div><span style="line-height: 16.8px;">Thank you everyone for the warm welcome to the club!! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" /></span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="line-height: 16.8px;"><blockquote>I saw the Jaguar ad with Damien Lewis and thought maybe one day I would like to own one. <div><br></div><div>I commented on this when I picked it up as well, he said he wasn't sure if I would appreciate it or not, I told him I thought it was a very nice touch! I would present all Jag's like this if I had my way!</div><div><br></div><div><span style="line-height: 16.8px;"><blockquote><blockquote>Well done Graham, I am picking up an IRR V6S from Pentland Jaguar in Perth next week. More to the point - WHY is that not on the option list?!<div><br></div><div>I wouldn't tick it...</div><div><br></div><div>But I'd love some other people to be brave enough to!</div>
