How many SVRs are there.

Hi all - just curious to see how many SVRs there are out there on the forum.

Last time I checked the stats there were some 150 or so registered in the UK (so maybe 20% of the global number perhaps?) but I’ve only ever seen 5 in the flesh including my own and those of forum members at breakfast club meetings!

So if you have one please post (with pic if poss) and we can get a quick tally!

Steve

As of 31st March 2019 there were 327 SVR's registered with the DVLA. (Of which 18 were declared SORN).

So we are looking for 326 more people and pictures!

Hi Steve, I have a deposit on a BRG SVR for 91k but have to wait 3 months for collection as they've registered it as a demo. I've just found a Caldera red one being sold by Bentley thats available now, 17 plate 10k miles for 65k but wasn't keen on the colour until I just noticed your car on the forum and it looks amazing with the satin wheels and black accents around the rear lights. How is the colour in the flesh and do you have any other photos you could please post. It actually looks stunning. Ive only just joined the forum btw. Steve

Hi Misui

Thanks for the comments. Before getting the SVR I was not a fan of red cars but I have to say with the black contrasting parts and satin wheels I fell in love with mine at first sight. It’s a stunner and gets a lot of attention. People often think it’s a Ferrari or some other exotic. I had it ceramic coated which also really helps the colour to burst out. I’ve left a couple of pictures below.

Is buying an SVR demo a good idea? Those demo drives are likely to be full throttle experiences, and I bet they won't give a stuff about running the engine in ....

I bought mine as a demo with 2k miles. Not a single issue 4k miles later...actually the only car I’ve ever owned with zero issues so far! Hard to say how hard they are driven as demos but 1) dealer employees can’t afford to get speeding tickets and 2) the ability to take any ftype on a test drive on uk roads that pushes it anywhere near its capability is very limited...even more so with the 5 litre types than the lesser powered ones. Just be careful to check out it’s not been tracked from day 1 8-)

Here's mine - an early one (August 2016). 40,000 miles from new and no problems (touch wood!). Has anyone else done similar mileage?

Totally agree with Gom Jabbar - impossible to thrash a car this quick and powerful on the roads. I gave it a good go for a day around Goodwood, but that didn't particularly stretch it. I would definitely consider buying an ex-demo - great value compared to buying new - I know!

I'm in Texas, not the UK, but the US F-Type forums are uninteresting to me.

Couldn't resist the opportunity to post a pic of my 2017 Firesand SVR taken on a spirited drive through Arkansas a few months back.

That is a good pic ^

I would love to take my F-Type R AWD across Tornado alley in spring with a picture of a tornado in the background. lol

I don’t understand why all F-type’s from MY 19 and newer have this thing from the side view.

To reduce the MIA SVR’s, there is currently 34 coupes and 11 convertibles on Autotrader, reducing the ones you’re looking for by 45 :)
