Help me identify this leak please.

The v8 has had a slight smell of hot coolant when parked up hot.

I asked the garage to check it over when it was in for a service, they claimed it was ok.

I noticed the smell again today, I opened the bonnet and the coolant was slightly below min ( have some arriving tomorrow ).

Clearly fearing the unpunished I had a look for obvious damp patches and saw a small amount as circled in the photo.

Any ideas what that is and how coolant could have got there?

Thanks

I’ve just had another look and noticed the pipe above the liquid has white marks on it, like it’s been wet and it feels like it might be slightly cut. Hard to see.

This pipe goes back into the expansion tank.

I’ll check it next time I run the car and can patch the pipe for the time being if it is leaking. Anyone know what the Jaguar part no is ?

Thanks

The Jaguar part number is T2R5910 (coolant expansion tank bleed hose).

Also check the hose is securely fitted to the upper coolant outlet pipe as shown in the 2nd photo here https://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=90212#p90212 The connector is a push fit and is held in place by a lug on either side of it.
