Yes this is exactly the same symptoms.<div> </div><div>I would fill up and then as I ran the tank down it might stick somewhere and stay there, whilst I was still clocking up the miles. I knew it wasn't right, but eventually I was caught out and ran out of fuel on the M6, the tank was showing half full. </div><div> </div><div>When it did stick on the gauge, fuelling up usually sorted the problem out and then it might be fine and run all the way down, but after the M6 experience I booked it in. The Engineer in attendance on the motorway from Jag Assist said other Jags (not F Types) have had similar problems with the float in the tank. I expect it is the same issue.</div><div> </div><div>When I booked it in they weren't able to replicate the problem, which caused some dissatisfaction on my part, and thus a few expletives because they were all for packing me off as delusional (despite having had one of Jaguars own engineers see the problem first hand).</div><div> </div><div>If you think you have the same problem you need to try and take it in with the problem happening or they may struggle to prove its a problem for the warranty from Jag UK. As long as you top up just enough so as not to unstick the float it should keep the float stuck so they can see the problem when they drain the tank, easier said than done.</div>
