Hello

Yes this is exactly the same symptoms.<div> </div><div>I would fill up and then as I ran the tank down it might stick somewhere and stay there, whilst I was still clocking up the miles. I knew it wasn't right, but eventually I was caught out and ran out of fuel on the M6, the tank was showing half full. </div><div> </div><div>When it did stick on the gauge, fuelling up usually sorted the problem out and then it might be fine and run all the way down, but after the M6 experience I booked it in. The Engineer in attendance on the motorway from Jag Assist said other Jags (not F Types) have had similar problems with the float in the tank. I expect it is the same issue.</div><div> </div><div>When I booked it in they weren't able to replicate the problem, which caused some dissatisfaction on my part, and thus a few expletives because they were all for packing me off as delusional (despite having had one of Jaguars own engineers see the problem first hand).</div><div> </div><div>If you think you have the same problem you need to try and take it in with the problem happening or they may struggle to prove its a problem for the warranty from Jag UK. As long as you top up just enough so as not to unstick the float it should keep the float stuck so they can see the problem when they drain the tank, easier said than done.</div>

Well funny because i did take it in and the just said we cant find the problem and sent me packing. It has not happened since but now you are going through the same thing at least i know its not only me. <div><br></div><div>Its not good that this problem is happening. Not in this day and age. </div><div><br></div><div>Keep me posted with what they find with your car buddy. </div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

I ordered my F-Type V6S back on October 30th.<br />I have read everything on the car now, owners manual twice. The wait is hard, but I should be picking it up in 109 hours. I'm not counting days anymore. Garage has new lighting, epoxy floor and paint.<br /><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/434/image.jpg" border="0" />

I'm sorry to say that you have the same affliction that I did. I read everything 10 times and built a garage for it to go in!<br /><br />I'm also very sorry to tell you it will be better than you imagine when you get it. They are terribly good!<br /><br />Mine is wintered for a couple of months, but I'm finding it difficult to leave it in the garage at the moment and ive had mine about a year!<br /><br />Do post up your pics and first day experience when you get it :)
