hi everyone. just joined the forum. i turned 60 last week so i decided to treat myself to an F type. i bought a v6s. not sure what the colour is called but it is very dark grey. it almost looks black. it has a grey leather interior and sports seat options. that’s about all i know about it!
i love the noise it makes!! i am a biker and it puts smile on my face every time i drive it. 😃

Happy birthday and welcome to the forum from another biker, well ex-biker!

Think it’s probably Carpathian Grey, I looked at one that colour and it’s great! Aren’t they all? :D

Photos would be nice :)

thanks guys . i would love to post pictures but don’t appear to be authorised yet? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
yes i am a lifelong biker and ex racer, but i had a pretty serious crash on the road last september ( not my fault) and i am very lucky to still be around. still into bikes as that is what i am into for a business, but this car is purely for fun and generally a lot safer than biking on today’s busy roads.

i will post pics as soon as i can 👍

Happy birthday! It has always reminded me of bikes I used to ride 30+ years ago. The exhaust brings out the childish side every time, just like my Z1R did back in the day. Much more comfortable and usable though

like wise, blackbird and very nasty RTA several years ago, F Type goes a long way to recovery and enjoyment of driving, especially the rag tops as close to fast bike as you can get.

Hi and welcome and happy birthday!
(you should be able to post pics and we can tell you the exact colour with a reg).

But better as you don't have to wear full leathers and skid lid😉

Happy 60th Birthday for last week and welcome to the forum.

The F-Type is a great car for having some fun etc and as you say is a lot safer than biking nowadays.

I too am very lucky to be around after a serious motorcycle accident just over 30 years ago.

Here's a photo of my last bike which was a Kawasaki Z1100R Eddie Lawson Replica (wish I’d kept it as they’re worth a small fortune now).

Be good to see photos of your car.......enjoy! :D

Welcome to the club! Post your paint code (bottom of the B pillar plate on the passenge side) and I'm sure someone will tell you the right name. ;)

Happy 60th birthday, nice treat, the F coupé is very complementary to the bike, I am pretty sure you will enjoy great moments!

Welcome to the club. Your story sounds familiar! I have to admit that since I bought my V6S, the VFR750 has hardly been out of the garage.

Enjoy.

thanks for the welcome guys. yes the exhaust brings out the big kid in me especially under bridges and tunnels 😂🤣. going to put my private plate on it as soon as the log book gets back but for research purposes my current reg number is LF13FXY. it’s an early car but nice low mileage. 38k . and as far as i can tell it is faultless.

can anyone tell me how to put a photo on please? i have looked at the faq section and the it says if i have admin permission i can upload a picture. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
the third party hosting idea for photos i understand but haven’t needed to use that on forums for years !

20130626_130053_2.jpghappy birthday, nice pressie from another ex biker, i gave up in 2015 after 30+ years on bikes my last one being a Z1000.

Happy birthday! Lovely present and it’s important to treat ourselves every now and again! I’m still hanging onto the biking with a Honda VTR 1000 which I’ve had for 15 years and could never sell and bought a Harley Breakout this year which is a bit kinder on the back (I’m 52 and played rugby all my life!!). Enjoy the F-type.....as someone else said, the bikes are starting to get jealous as I’m only taking the F-Type out at the moment!!
