Goodies from the Jaguar dealer

Well I am half way to my wait for my new FTYPE it's an agonising wait .... today I was thinking back to previous Jaguar buys and I remembered the first XK I bought , on the day of taking it out of the show rooms at Thames Ditton they gave my wife a bouquet of flowers and Andrew the sales man had a pencil sketch of my new XK with my own private plate drawn in on it and it was also framed as well.
I was really impressed and thought it was a nice touch.
On buying my last car a XKR The Poole dealership gave no extra gifts on the day of picking up the car.

I am curious to see when the time comes to pick up my new F type at Poole if they will do anything....so I am asking everyone who has bought a jaguar, what the dealership did as an extra when they picked up their car it will be interesting to see how they all differ......

A bottle of champagne + the two keys in a very plush presentation box.

That was for a 3 year old car so maybe a case of champagne and the key to the city for a new one.

Nice touch that made it feel a little special.

Mine also came with the keys in a nice presentation box, but nothing else.
My BMW M came with a waterproof BMW M Sport golf bag.

My Poole dealership (probabaly the one you speak of) gave me an expensive looking flower display, pencil sketch with the registration number, car keys in a ridiculous presentation box, when I collected my 1st new F-type.
Pity the car let the entire thing down. They didn't bother with all the niceties on the subsequent replacements.

I think we got flowers but don't remember anything else. Did get a massive discount though so I don't really care about anything else.

When we collected the F Type my wife got a bunch of flowers. We have just taken delivery of an XE and we were presented with two nice key rings, a leaper and a growler. The growler is too nice to put in my pocket in case it gets scratched and the leaped looks a bit sharp to go in my pocket for fear of doing myself a mischief! Probably wouldn't be allowed on an airplane either. They came in a nice presentation box and are very nice so that is where they will stay so we can look at them occasionally. Both from Pentland Jaguar in Perth.
Steve.
ps, sorry about the overuse of the word nice. Oops just used it again!

As well as the most important bit....THE CAR!

We managed a bouquet of flowers for the other half, I had an F-Type baseball hat and 1:43 scale red convertible F-Type and the car was also treated with Gtechniq EXO and C1 Crystal lacquer. All embarrassingly unveiled from under a red silk sheet in the corner of the showroom!
That was on a brand new V8S from Poole (Westover).

After that one was replaced, (long story, however on the forums) they upgraded us from the S to a V8R, so I think all in all they can be pretty good. That was of course after wringing them by the neck for discount/options etc.

Alas YMMV as the salesman that we had an excellent rapport with, has moved on....as has the dealer principal...!

I got an umbrella, two key rings, a colouring book. The umbrella is pretty decent quality so was happy with that.

Thanks to everyone who responded to this post please keep them coming, then we will see what I get next month from the Poole dealership....

I forgot we got two nice jaguar keyrings too, but don't use them as I don't like the bulk in my pocket. Just use the key on its own.

Full tank of fuel too or course. I don't leave a dealer without a full tank of fuel regardless of what car I'm buying. I'll actually walk away from the whole thing if they don't do it... For such an expensive purchase compared to the cost of a tank of fuel it's insulting if they don't include it. I always hover the pen just above the paperwork before signing for the car as I say "I assume it comes with a full tank?" 😁

I got a full tank, a lovely presentation box with the aforementioned keyrings (leaper and growler), and a book of the 36 best European road trips ;) A nice little personal message from the salesman inside.

My Jaguar Used Approved from HA Fox came with discount off screen price, OEM cover, half tank fuel, 6 months tax & the nice presentation box with key rings.

Wife did the negotiating. I'm awful with that sort of thing.

i got my car in its own handover bay and unveiled a nice presentation box with the keys in it and two growler keyrings a bottle of whisky a jaguar umberella a hoodie and a jaguar teddy bear I think that is absoulety brilliant

Bugger all and that was after paying full price for an R, (it was when they first came out 3 years ago though).
