Does anyone know anything about diff oil?

Hi all,
Quite a specific question, but I've had the diff oil changed on my AWD P450 today at a main dealer, just as preventative maintenance.

Jaguar recommends BOT720, which my invoice (see below) says they've used for the front (part number ELR019727).

However, the invoice says they have also used a Land Rover diff oil for the rear (part number ETYK500010 on the invoice).

I believe the latter is the same viscosity (75w-90) but may not be recommended for locking diffs. Not sure if the V8 electronic diff is classed as 'locking' or not.

They say it's the right oil but I'm not convinced, and can't find any record of Jaguar recommending it.

It's a long shot but does anyone who's technical/maybe in the trade happen to know how interchangeable these diff oils are?

There are too many stories of premature rear diff failure for me to take any chances! Thanks.

I am interested in this topic as I was just checking the same oil specifications for the diffs and gearbox last week. I have found that the rear diff is on the V8 is electronic LSD and uses the following oils, Jag no C2Z25586, ELR019727, Castrol BOT-720 75w/90 fully synthetic , Motul 300LS 75w/90, Motul 102686-12-LS 75w/90. The front diff assy uses Castrol TYK50010 75w/90 SAF-OX GL5 fully synthetic. I might be wrong but if anyone has more information this would help to help others.

Found this info - Rear diff
Vehicles with 3.0L petrol (340 PS) SAFXO
Vehicles with 3.0L petrol (360
PS) BOT720.
Vehicles with 5.0L petrol BOT720
IMotul 300 LS 75/W90

Front diff (AWD)
The Jaguar spec
Recommended lubricant 3.0L S/C BOT 750B
Recommended lubricant 5.0L S/C Castrol SAF-XO 75W/90
Note this is also BMW 07 51 2 293 972

Glups, they seem to have inverted the oils, I would be very worried and would ask for responsible clarification.
