Just a short story and message to not buy cars from Sytner at least not from Sytner Solihull and maybe Jaguar Salmon in Coventry (belongs to Sytner)
My Ftype started making a metallic/ringing noise from the exhaust which was later identified to be caused by a solenoid in the rear box. Sytner warranty has refused the repair as it doesn't cover exhausts which i couldn't argue with, however....
I have found in my documents something called Sytner Customer Charter which states that the exhaust is covered indeed. I have Spoke to some sort of customer service manager at Sytner Solihull who sounded like a broken record and kept repeating that this is wear and tear and its the characteristic (love this word) of the F-types as it happens on all of them. I tried explaining that wear tear can be on tyres, breaks, seats, trims, etc but not on a part that is faulty and also mentioned the forum that hardly any have this issue, and if they had then it was replaced.
I am still awaiting a call back from Jaguar Coventry (not much hope here) as Sytner Solihull won't authorize it.
Just wondering if you have any suggestions on how to approach this or am I only left with going via the ombudsman?
