Hello, I've just put a deposit on a 2019 V6 R-Dynamic convertible.

SAJDB5AV3LCK64580, I believe it was on a private plate but waiting to be told the original reg number it will go back to.

Any history or info will be much appreciated :)

https://osh.jaguar.com/home

shows only one service since 2020, done on 27/9/24 at Marshalls, Bedford at 20,293 miles.

I've just discovered the online service record, its had a PDI plus 4 services at Jaguar, that being the most recent. It looks like it's missing one as each service was carried out slightly late. It's only done 21500 miles in total so I don't think it's a deal breaker.

I’d take a look at the mot history.
Issues of worn, pitted and corroded discs not fixed for last 2 years and last year worn tyres.
Looks like the last owner drove it hard, so I’d check brakes done and what tyres it has on.

Yes, I've seen the MOT history, appears to be lack of use rather than hard use but you never know with a used car.

Nearside Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened inner face heavy surface corrosion due to been stood possibly may wear off with use. (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
Offside Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened inner face heavy surface corrosion due to been stood possibly may wear off with use. (1.1.14 (a) (ii)

I was looking at it more from the perspective that the discs wear showed up on 2 consecutive MOT's with 3,000 miles between them, so clearly deep damage, but not yet a fail and not a bit of superficial corrosion from standing.

Prior MOT:
Nearside Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
Offside Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))

Just something I'd have negotiated to be replaced as they do really need changing.

Also worn out the tyres at 18k isn't a gentle driver/life.

18K not a gentle driver? Mine never last longer than 10k miles, and that's been the case with all 4 Jags I've had. The fronts on the RWD XKRs lasted a bit longer, but the rears, always 10k miles.

I must try harder as 3rd set in lifetime of 60k are still at 5mm
My 2 tonne EV just had new fronts at 25k rears still at 5mm too

All my Jags have been V8s so maybe those two extra cylinders make a difference? :)

My experience has been on Pirelli and Dunlop tyres so I'll see how long the Michelins last this time.
