Cleaning dirt out of the window seals

I recently had some pointing done on the house and as such there was dust everywhere. I moved my car away while they were working, but it seems like there was dust in the air for days afterwards and it's got in the window seals.

As a result, there are now some small vertical scratches in the windows.... can anyone suggest any ways of removing the seals to clean them? Or do I have to take the whole door apart, remove all the trim etc?

In addition, does anyone know of a way of removing scratches from the glass? Can they be polished out?

Cerium Oxide will remove the scratches. Although, takes a fair amount of time to only grind out a line scratch using an electric drill. I can't remember where I got my kit from, but there's loads on Amazon (pink powder and a wine cork sized drill pad is what you're looking for). Tape/mask the area you are polishing to stop the paste slurry going places where you don't want it going)

Decided to clean my window seals today - certainly needed it!
User tar remover on a microfibre towel first, then a good scrub down with a couple of good squirts of anti-bac hand wash, getting right inside all the seals.
Also the line on top of the door left where the seal sits and up near the mirrors.
A good squirt of rubber care inside the seals before putting them back on.
Being black the rubbers do hide a lot of dirt - as you can tell!
The metal tangs are where the seal fits back on to and the plastic block is where the star head screw fits on the inside rear edge of the door.
A gentle lapping of toothpaste on the windows next, then all should be good for the summer.

The PDF was posted on here by one of the members I kept it for future use.
I had the misfortune to use it recently after scumbags broke my window. I changed the glass myself.
