Bonnet paint repair

Local wildlife seems to have damaged an inch diameter circularise patch of the paint. Definitely looks like claw marks ☹️.

Is the only option a complete respray or is there any chance a smart repair might work. If it has to be the restoration, any idea of the cost? Pennies are a little tight at the moment after paying for a wedding.

It depends whether the "wildlife" was little pussy or a bear!
WEhad light scratches and minor paint defects removed by the our local paint correction shop.
Was inexpensive. Hopefully, your damage is light enought for the experts to polish out.

BRG is quite forgiving. I think spot repair does the job.

Afterwards have a PTFE protection fitted and it smooths out any reflection/shine differences..

Hello not sure of your location but Essex smart repairs have good feedback

Best way to find out, is ask a smart repairer! If you give us a clue of your rough location maybe someone on here can recommend somewhere.

I live in Swindon. I’ve used our local ChipsAway guy in the past on other cars but not sure how their water based paint will fare with the f type. Our local guy, Sven, is really good though.

I've seen smart repairs being carried out at the local Jaguar dealer, they use the correct paint to match existing paintwork so I would expect any repair to be an exact match.
