Body panel adjustment

At some point I think my (new to me) coupe had its bumper resprayed. The panel gaps around the frontend are inconsistent and starting to bug me. Is this something that can be done by a rank amateur? Can anyone recommend someone in SE London / Kent that can sort it?

Here you go (includes the JTB 'Front End Panel Alignment' file and also the TOPIx 'Gap and Profile Information – Front End').....

yikes! think I will have to give that all a miss. Looks way too complicated without a garage and a lot of spare time :(

Are you aware that the front end panel alignment issues on these cars are very common? It doesn’t necessarily mean that your car has had any work done on the front bumper, unless there's something blatantly obvious?

The front end panel alignment on mine (where the bonnet meets the bumper cover, near the wheel) isn’t perfect but to the untrained eye it’s hardly noticeable.

Some of the adjustments in the JTB 'Front End Panel Alignment' file are easy enough to try e.g. the bonnet height adjusters and front bumper cover side bolts etc. Whether or not it will resolve the issue you have is another matter though? Also, bear in mind that when you make adjustments, you could find that other areas will go out of alignment.

It’s well worth you having a read through these....

If you decide that you want the job done but would prefer to leave it to someone else, I would think there’s some good car body shops in your area who’ll be able to sort it? First of all, I’d get a quote from your Jag main dealer to compare....I’ve found they can sometimes be more competitive than I thought!
