Benelux Meet & Drive 21st Oct 18

My idea is to shorten the 200 km tour. Keep in mind that participants drive up and back to Breda what adds up to 500 km or plus in total that day. Also from the co-pilot point of view (usualy female) it is more relaxing to have a chat with each other than drive the extra mile. Just my 2 cents.
 
After a PM from Dirk , we come to the follow suggestion: Sunday 21 October Gather in Breda at the parkingplace of Louis van Dijk fietsen.
Adress Tuinzigtlaan 22, 4814JE Breda.

The tour will be aprox. 140 KM.
Start of the tour at 12.00, Lunch around 13.00
second stop around 16.00.

After this stop, people can decide to drive home or have a nice meal together.
I hope we can gather a nice bunch of Benelux f-type pilots and make it a succesfull day

I forgot to mention, that everyone is welcome from 11.00.
If you know another f-type driver? ask her or him to join.

Who arrives later can join for lunch 1:00 PM or part 2 of the tour around 2:00 PM
Participants sign up for diner at the last stop 6:00 PM

I'll have the meeting posted on a FB group for F-type owners and invite German owners too.
 
Sounds good to me ! I am also active on another F-Type forum.
I informed 3 members who live within 1,5h drive from Breda.

Maybe they join, or join this forum too !

This could go viral, if people start to show up who just want to see F-Types... Would it not be better if we 'sign in' ?
Like : join time/place and lunch yes/no and tour yes/no and dinner yes/no.. ..and how many 1/2 persons..

I don't know what you have in mind for lunch, but if suddenly 60 persons appear, a reservation or " group booking "
would be helpfull for the people that run the places, unless its a Mc Donalds... :lol:
 
Does this forum offer a functionality for signing up?
For example a poll that includes the questions Dan_Veluwe forwarded?
Or do we have to use an other solution f.e. google docs, email, ... ?
 
In the other forums you just copy/paste the top row and fill in your remarks, I'll make an example ;

So you "quote" and remove the text you don't need. So the list is factual and complete.
You have to add dots between the replies, otherwise they all aline on the left..
 
I can imagine that participants don't want their wherabouts on a public forum. I will have a go at develloping an online registration document.

If you guys figure out what is the easiest way to register our meet and ride.
I will figure out the nicest 140 km"s. as an enthousiastic motorcyclist, I know wher it's fun to ride.

And some nice stops with decent food and drinks won't be a problem, unless Dan invites 60 f-types!

11:00 AM meet up in Breda
12:00 AM start first part of the tour (140 km in total)
01:00 PM lunch
02:00 PM start second part of the tour (with interim stops)
06:00 PM diner (without obligation)

I would go to Breda on Saturdaymorning and visit Breda (shopping) and book a hotel with parking in the centre of Breda... is there anyone else who is interested or can recommend on good hotel in the centre ?
 
@Carrera. I am NOT familiar with Breda. But I always book a hotel with its own secure parking. I even did that with my 2006 Landrover.
If they break into the car, even if they don't steal anything, your stuck several hours to have it repaired and file with the police...

This hotel is in the city centre and seems to have a secure parking : Hotel Sutor.
THis hotel is further from the centre but has an on site parking in the grounds : Boutique Hotel Het Scheepshuys .

But I haven't been in either..
 
Hi Carrera, Breda is a nice city with a beautiful park, old Streets ,many bars and restaurants, cinemas and variety of shops.
If you want a hotel in the centre, I should say Golden tullip the Keyser.
There is a save and good garage near by, with a lot of light and safetycameras'.
under the townhall and casino just 100 meters from the hotel away.

I completed the route and I think you will enjoy it.
I found a few restaurants with decent parkingplace.

So let the weather be good 21 th October and let's make a beautifull day of it!
