380 mile 2017 F-type. LHD UK. Good price?

Hello

I found this left hand drive UK F-type. About 31000 pounds cheaper than a brand new R convertible if you order one today. Do you think it’s a good price or should I negotiate?
The price has VAT included?

The sales manager said ”we only have 50’s and 100’s off the price of the car. ”

SUMMARY
------------
I cannot find out why the car was sent to Germany and then moved back to the UK. It hasn't done any miles so there is no internet history. The logical reasons for recovery would be finance issue, no payment, returned as customer requested an option that was not installed, stolen or crashed and repaired or a magazine car not used. You would need to ask Jaguar why it has come back to the UK and not stayed in a LHD EU market. Always seems a bit odd that a savage company seems to get involved but maybe that is who Jaguar use but why would you bring a LHD car back to the UK which is RHD if nothing is wrong with the car?? I am open to suggestions but this might just be me being overly suspicious.

I have also posted the contact details for COPART that were on the service record from 3rd April so if Jaguar have no answers you could try contacting them to find the reason it came back to the UK.

It looks a lovely car in white and there might be a valid reason it came back to the UK which would make it an excellent purchase to export back to a LHD country.

As far as 50's and 100's comment I presume the dealer is saying they can knock off a couple of 100 quid.

Thank you very much. I will try to contact Jaguar/Copart and see what they know.
No rear parking camera or front sensors and no heated steering wheel is a bit bad.
Also the speedometer is in mph. Why would it be mph if the car was meant for Germany? Maybe they changed it afterwards.

(Edit)
Jaguar answered me and said they can’t give me info on a car that has left the production line.

It was originally fitted with km odometer which was changed by copart on 3rd April to mph. It's in the original post. Jaguar and/or Copart should be able to tell you when and why it came back to the UK.

The dealer said in their email that it’s classified as a pre-reg car that’s been registered.

In their ad they say ”delivery mileage car”

But I don't know, why would an actual jaguar/Land Rover dealership not be fully honest? I think the car is fine but I must know everything about it. I can't just pay nearly 70K pounds for a car like that.
It does have 24 months of warranty.

My alarm bells ring as soon as I hear the word "Salvage" or the words "Vehicle Auction", but then I don;t trust used car sales as far as I could chuck them...having sold cars myself ;-)
Looked at Copart and could't find a car that wasn't dented or damaged in some way!

Someone give me a good reason why a salvage co. would get involved with a car this new ???

Step away, unless you really must have this particular car that seems to be missing some odd bits like rear camera....wtf?

Rear camera and front sensors were optional extras for the R 2018 model years. Now it's standard.
This is not a must-have-spec for me but I do like it if there is nothing wrong with it. Good price compared to Sweden and V8.

But my absolute dream F-type is actually in Sweden but it's a 2016 model year. I don't know but I can't convice myself to buy an F-type with no waranty. Seems too risky. The photo is exactly the F-type I dream of. It was for sale for 60 000 pounds. For the English market that would be really expensive but in Sweden that's what a 2016 model year goes for, and it was imported.

I'm surprised, as it was standard fitment to most model years prior to this...

Anyway, maybe it's worth talking to the seller of the Red car and seeing if they will offer a warranty OR buying a warranty insurance yourself if you can do this in Sweden.
Italian Racing Red plus black is the colour combo to have IMO. That car just looks right in every respect.

It’s not for sale anymore but I have the number of the owner and could always ask. He removed the ad unsold last month.
But with no warranty do you think it’s worth the risk?

It's worth a try...Speak to the owner, he may do a deal with some kind of warranty as well if the car didn't sell....If you don't ask you don't get!

That is wrong according to Jaguars own system!

So I have never experienced this before but the seller made a personal video just for me and I would like to share it and hear your thoughts.
The car looks great but still no mention of why it was sent back or why it was at Copart. I must get this info or I will absolutely not buy it. I replied to him and am waiting.

Most dealers do videos for their Jaguar websites and customers enquiring so that is normal.

Hope you get an answer on why car was made for Germany but arrived back in UK via a used car savage company after 3 months and then disappeared from 3rd April until now. Hope there is an honest answer for you as car looks lovely.

Could you please give me the VIN? You could send me a PM so it won't be visible here. I want to see the carfax report or is there no additional info there compared to what you already found out?

This is the reply:

I'll just post it here (as it will be displayed in the front window anyway if you are serious in buying it). The VIN for car "VN67VNX" is "edit - PM'ed you as requested"

You could try calling COPART as they PDI'ed the car and changed the odometer to MPH on the 3rd April.
Call 0044 1234 766500 or contact form here https://www.copart.co.uk/Content/UK/EN/Contact-Us/Head-Office
There job number was "B6209" so they might have information on the where they got the car from. Someone must know!

The VIN doesn't exist according to Carfax.

Thought carfax was for US imports. Here is screenshot of Jaguar system.

I called. I gave the VIN, license plate and job number. He said he couldn't find any information about it.
I will call again tomorrow. They didn't answer the email I sent 2 days ago.
