2 Incontrol questions

I have 2 questions I'm sure someone here will know the answer 8-) (I could't find a clear answer after hours of reading)
Car in question is my F-Type P300 MY21.

1) As all Incontrol subscriptions on my car ended after the initial 3 years, I only extended the 'Remote' subscription for 2 months.
On the remote page of the Incontrol app, the only functions on my car I can control are "Lock/Unlock" and "Beep/Flash".
But I read that other members can manage other functions on their F-types, like "Start/Stop the engine", "Activate heating or Aircon", "Open/Close the windows". None of those show up in my app. I deleted the app from my phone, and reinstalled it using a UK apk. But the new app looks exactly the same as before, with again only those 2 functions.
Am I correct in assuming that this is because I have a Belgian account, or are there other Belgian owners who do have access to those other functions? In that case I would like to now how they managed that.

2) As said above, I only renewed the Remote subscription. If I install a new data SIM card in the cars console, would it give me some benefit in the form of extra functions (without having to create additional paying accounts) ?

I only have the same two functions, the start control is not allowed in Belgium due to law about letting an unoccupied car being left running. The data SIM card will not give you any more incontrol functions, but will allow you to connect to a Jaguar Here account for map updates etc.

1) I feared already that it was due to the many strict and fussy Belgian rules :-( And because you cannot connect directly to the car, but always have to pass through the Incontrol server, they control the rules regardless of the app.

2) I don't want to pay for an extra Here account, I mainly use WAZE via my wireless Android Car connection. But I was hoping that there might be some additional Jaguar navigation features that didn't require an optional HERE account but worked directly through the data SIM.

There is no charge for the Here account although you do have to pay for the update’s after three years. On model years 2019 onward you can also have a hotspot via the SIM card and have the facility to have over the air updates so can be worthwhile.

Thank you. I thought you had to pay to create a Here account anyway. In that case I gonna create a Here account, buy a data sim to slot into the console, and play with it a bit :-)

Sadly it's not only Belgium where the remote features are limited. Same thing in Germany, Luxembourg and probably more countries around here.

The only things you get if you also pay HERE are monthly map updates via USB stick and half baked live traffic info, none of which is worth the money especially if you can run CarPlay. Weirdly enough, if you have a data sim you get live satellite view data, google maps style, in the built in satnav even if you don't have a paid here subscription.

The only one you're missing is the remote engine start, although it's labelled as activating the climate control, for which the engine has to be running. No way to open/close all the windows except by long pressing the fob lock/unlock buttons, assuming you have the global close option set.

That applies in the UK, but only to vehicles on the public highway - on your drive (or in a car park?) it's legal to run the engine remotely. I don't know if the Jag inhibits such action if it's actually on a road, though - I wouldn't want to risk it anyway. There are a number of conditions that have to be met before the remote start will activate - car must be locked, windows closed, in Park, etc.

I'm looking forward to cold winter mornings when I can switch the climate control on 5 minutes before hopping in. Only wish the app would let me put on the heated seats and steering wheel. Some people are never happy 😂
