"Why the Jaguar F-Type is a sports car BARGAIN"

Here's a rather nice new F-Type video in case anyone missed it. I think he has some very good points and I completely agree that there's nothing out there that really is comparable.

Although I'm nowhere near as old as they are I also really agree with Jeremy Clarkson's views on new cars and Harry Metcalfe's excellent summary of the current new car situation in his latest video, which kind of aligns with what this chap says in his video. Most new cars are non descript transportation devices and the very few that have some character are mostly ridiculously priced, too lardy and too burdened by bad tech. A few exceptions are the Mustang and Alpine although none of them strikes the balance as well as the F-Type.

We're all really lucky to drive F-Types. It is a bit bizarre though to see how dirt cheap some of them are getting. I personally seriously can't see any other sports/GT car that's as interesting as the F-Type and doesn't disqualify itself by having a ridiculous price.

Great find, thanks for sharing! I'm approaching the end of my first year of ownership and I agree that a well-maintained F-type is hard to beat price wise. As for its ridiculous depreciation that for many like me is actually a blessing only seems to be disproportionate in the UK. Similar 2018 model year with up to 30K miles were on sale in Europe for 50,000 euros earlier this year. My work colleagues in Spain say they fetch twice the UK price at the moment in euros.

Jaguars have always been automotive bargains - lots of car for the money - partly, I suspect, because of people's misguided belief that we're still living in the bad old BMC/British Leyland days. The XK8/R and subsequent XK/XKR are a case in point, too. And they all look gorgeous!

Yep, the prices are quite different on the continent. It looks like used Jags especially always were bargains in the UK. I guess because there's so many more of them than elsewhere and people in especially the UK suffered from BL's quality mayhem back in the day. The used Jag prices and the availability of Jaguar specialised indies is something that those of us outside of the UK can be envious of.

I think it was Harry’s Garage this week where he was doing an in-depth dive regarding new car prices, and left hookers (are you still allowed to say that these days?) hold their value because of the bigger market where they can be sold

Hey Tom, I'm the guy in the video! I just wanted to say thank you for sharing my content and most of all watching in the first place. As a new Youtuber your support means a lot and I think it has contributed well to the video going some what 'viral' now at over 30,000 views.

Really appreciate your support and hope you're enjoying your F-Type too!

Good to see you here Ben! Welcome onboard!

As an F-Type enthusiast I'm really happy to see someone spreading the word about these fabulous cars and you're clearly one of us who get exactly what these cars are all about. Hats off for a good video and good luck with any further Youtube projects!
