My local dealer in Chichester obtained a manual v6s manual demonstrator much to their surprise I think. I previously bought a new v6 F type in Sept 13 but sold it after 7 months thinking I really wanted a manual but at the time, Jaguar were adamant that no such car would be built. Anyway, I arranged a test drive a couple of weeks ago. I have to say they were not very enthusiastic about the manual version and said that so far they hadn't any orders for one. My impression was probably tainted by the fact that it was raining heavily, the car was black in colour and interior not much brighter and so my impression after an hour was not fantastic. The gear lever itself seems not to have been treated to the design attention of the auto and seemed slightly awkward to use. Am sure I'm being overly critical as I really wanted to like the manual but instead, I came away thinking that the auto suited the car more and that a third pedal and manual gearbox offered nothing more to the driving experience, I think I'd rather have another auto, but this time I'd like a v6S compared to the v6 I owned before. Think I need to start saving again...<div>Regards, dave</div>
