Wheels advise

Hey guy,

I got an opportunity to buy cheap ish (I think!) set of CENTRIFUGE wheels with tyres for £780.

I currently have set of orbit wheels painted black gloss.

Just asking for advise if are good/better looking as I never seen them before. Are they worth the price etc ?

I think they look fine, so do your current ones. There are even nicer but expensive wheels. Your choice of course. Maybe the 2nd set for winter tyres swap?

I'd plan on new tyres. Maxxis come out very low on tests:

Far East ditch finders

Wheels themselves look good, but not sure there is enough of a step up to justify the swap

Yep agree with others.

Both sets of wheels look good on the car so although it’s a good price, it’s probably not worth it as there won’t be enough of a difference.

Wheels are personal taste , if you like them fine , the tyres are an unknown make and not Jaguar rated so get some quality make of jaguar rated tyres .

So no Michelins or Contis?

Ok , Michellins would be a good choice but Jaguar don't rate them , don't know why , its your choice ! Does your Ins. co mind or not ? I went for Dunlops on the front instead of Pirellis .

I'd class the PZeros borderline dangerous if below 5deg. Had them on wifes FPace when we bought it - changed after 1 week.
As im north the temps are low for many months. Maybe down south were ambient is higher, not so many issues.

Currently have them on the Ftype i bought. Fronts are brand new and rears have 5mm left (so basically new). Previous owner fitted them as "Jag approved". Will be removing them in the very near future. They will be ebayed/gumtree as over a 1000 quid worth of tyre so not dumping them.

I dont believe insurance companies care what tyres are fitted as long as they are same rating (or above).

Yeah, which is why I posted. Possibly because they don't have the resources to work with many tyre companies for specific rubber? Or maybe the "standard" Michelins are already suitable for the F-Type. As others have said, so long as the tyre ratings are al least met, you're fine to fit any make of tyre (subject to the usual caveats).

Don't like Pirelli's either .
