What have you done to your F Type today?

My wife went for a day out so just felt right to have a cruise around the Peak Diistrict.
Words can’t describe the joy of weaving through the dales with the only sound being the glorious V6 purring and reverberating the sound off the closing in drystone walls, hood down and sun shining..
I never forget how lucky I am to be able to do such things..

Had dual zone climate and auto high beam activated.. Discovered that new seat control modules, the switches that control the electric adjustment of seats, need coding to the car..

Went for a blast and shot a short video while at it and within speed limit! 😇

I sent across the deposit for my next car! It's a black V8 R and fully loaded with options, it even has a powered tailgate. I cant wait until Tuesday now to pick it up!

So you didn’t opt for a V6 S or P380 then? Can’t wait to see pics of the new car 🤗

Nice one. You'll love it. V8 was a good choice :D

Collected my F Type from the detailers yesterday and we're off out for some roof down driving as rain is expected from Sunday onwards for the next week.

Some pics attached of the car when I collected it.

Nope, I had originally opted for a V6 but when I did the man maths the cost of a V8 wasn't much more. Also the mpg, insurance and tax wasn't significantly much more. However when I put my foot down it was a lot more fun than a V6!

New P Zero OE rear tyres and wheel alignment with ATS Euromaster. There's a good deal at the moment and they had the cheapest P Zero J tyres in the market. It was ranging £250-£280 and I bagged them for £207 each fully fitted after discount.

Had a great day on Saturday with the Driving Fanatics at a car event in Eastbourne. We had some Astons,Ferrari's,XK's and F-Types in our group.Got some great weather too.
Had more people than usual asking what to look out for when purchasing a F-Type.Wonder if this is the "Jeremy Clarkson influence" or is just due to the location of the car show?
Obviously directed them to this great site for more info!

that brg coupe is a beauty.

You made the right decision. V8’s all the way 🤗

Seconded! The sound!

Discovered that if you don’t get the locking wheel nut adapter when you buy your car, you have to change the whole set… 😆

No, you shouldn’t need to.
If you know the code, you can get them elsewhere.
DAMHIK 👍

Hey Moss, thanks for the heads up… can’t find a code in the manual or on any cards in the car etc. Any ideas on where to look for it?

Oops, if you’ve no record of the code, you’re stuffed to a degree.
I think there are at least two dozen different patterns of key. The code is stamped on the lock key.

If you don’t know the code, look on eBay and there are a couple of bods who offer a service which may help you locate the right lock key.

It’s a time-consuming ballache, but marginally better than letting Jaguar screw you for a couple of hundred for a new set.

Thanks for the info Moss. Yeah, I gave up trying to find a replacement - I can’t find any info for my car, Jaguar don’t sell the part anymore, and Google wasn’t forthcoming! I have a big trip in a couple of weeks so replacement was the best option. Local dealer was very helpful and cost was less than I thought so have opted for that… and piece of mind 😉
