Having previously been the owner of The Deranged Pony, a 700bhp ludicrous Mustang and before that, various TVRs, I've always been fond of the limelight and attention of driving something loud and theatrical. 8-)

Over the past month, I've been toying with the idea of having a go with something else.
Somehow, less than 3 weeks from my whimsical thoughts of "having a look" I must have dreamwalked to the laptop and bought this, as it just got delivered today!

I'll admit, its not been excellently looked after and could do with some tlc, but for the price I nabbed it for, I'm willing to turn a blind eye to that. I've got it booked in for a full check next week and touch wood, if everything is mechanically fine, I'll start tinkering...

Congrats! I was cross-shopping between the F-Type and a V8 Mustang but ultimately went with the Jaaaaaag (albeit the V6 S).

Curious to see what you think of the F-Type versus your Mustang over the course of your ownership 👀

Congrats! Looks really nice on the picture. One of the great early RWD V8s I presume.

I also always had a soft spot for the Mustang and nearly bought a new S550 back when the facelift was introduced but went for a Jag instead. Just like the F-Type it's one of the very few really characterful cars left.

Just to update, car went in today for a check over at a main dealer and I was suitably impressed. Not too much in the way of rust and degradation underneath. Only things picked up was a leaking exhaust from a gash fix by the previous owner/ dealer and the tyres had very minimal uneven wear, less than 0.5mm from edge to edge.
So over all, I'm pretty happy with it.
