Wax or Sealant ??

Having spent the winter wet sanding and re-polishing my F-Type I have spend the last 8 weeks exploring what the best finishing step should be for my car, a WAX or a SEALANT ??? Some pictures to compare below.<div><br></div><div>The key to any final step finish is the preparation, WAX and SEALANT's both need to have the paint surfaced prepared, however with our F-Types the paint is new and should be in good order, however if it needs some work, I would recommend using a good quality car shampoo for the wash and then a mild cutting polish or cleaner polish before the final step application.</div><div><br></div><div>I starting this experiment with a lot of research on line to see what people thought was the best products, there was a tremendous amount of information and recommendation, however the final products selected were;</div><div><br></div><div>WAX - Dodo Juice Supernatural</div><div>Pre Wax Polish used - Dodo Juice Supernatural Micro Prime - </div><div>Applied with a Blue Chemical Guys Pad on DAS 6 Pro Polishing machine</div><div>Final WAX applied by hand, two layers</div><div>Detailing Spray - Supernatural Carnauba Glaze</div><div><br></div><div>SEALANT - Zaino Range</div><div>Z-IAO for preperation applied with <span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.4;">Blue Chemical Guys Pad on DAS 6 Pro Polishing machine</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.4;">Z5 applied by hand, Two Layers using ZFX </span>accelerator</div><div>Z2 applied by hand, Two Layers using ZFX accelerator</div><div>Z6 High Gloss Detail spray used as directed, between each layer of Z5 and Z2</div><div>Z8 Grand Finale final Detailing spray</div><div><br></div><div>Both systems were not cheap, The Dodo Juice set cost £105, while the Zaino System cost £130.</div><div><br></div><div>So let the pictures show the finishes and you make your own mind up. In my view the Wax is a richer shine while the Sealant is a hard gloss shine.
