If SimpleR would be so kind to help with a history check for vehicle reg M777 JGP that would be great.

A customer of mine has just purchased this car and Pentland JLR are being useless and not providing any information!

Hi, there is not a lot of information to provide!

Car 38234, Glacier White MY17 R from 20th May 2016.
No PDI recorded so your customer should ensure it was actually done to ensure only the two keys they have will ever work. There are 5 previous owners and the car appears in Yorkshire, Surrey, Edinburgh and Colchester. 1st service was recorded, 2nd service 6 months late and then nothing until 7th service in April this year so no idea on what has or has not been done.

Hi, can someone help me please and provide some advice. I am really keen on purchasing an F-type Awd and one has come up for sale. It is a 20 plate but has been procured by the independent garage without any service history available. It has 24,000 miles on the clock. The indy has put it through a major service (Jagtec in Nottingham) but cannot provide any history before that. Can someine help me please? Should I be concerned, walk away, or is there a good reason for the missing history since new. The registration plate is FL20XKS. I have never owned a Jag and this looks like a gorgeous car. I'd appreciate the advice and help.

The only help I can give you is that if it’s been through Jagtec they are pretty reliable at picking up everything that needs to be done. That’s not to say the Indy went ahead with any work recommendations (if any).

Who buys a brand new car and doesn't service it for three years.
I would try to dig deeper and see if you can find servicing details, else go in with eyes wide open and understand that come resale, price will be effected.

Only you can decide if the car is worth it.

I was on another Jaguar forum ages ago and an XF owner posted that he was just coming up to 12,000 miles and was booking his car in for its first service. Turned out he'd had the car for 4 years!
