V8 R lower rear splitter/valance brackets

Hi All,

One of the 2 central brackets that attach from the black splitter up to the body have come detached on my car.
The bracket bolts to the car on one end, but the other end is attached to the splitter by what looks like some fancy double sided tape.

I tried using some 3M double sided pads I had lying around, but that didn't last long.

Has anyone else had this problem?
I was thinking of just epoxying it back on, but was a little worried about the heat from the epoxy curing distorting the plastic on the splitter.

I’ve had numerous issues over the years on JLR bumper parts falling to pieces or just me customising. Typically bonded parts or those where they melt tabs to secure bits together
My go to method has always been to plastic weld, usually taking some excess off somewhere to melt and blend, but have used assorted methods of pop rivets and bonding
Hard to say which but I’ve never had issues with 2 part adhesive, nor heat. If worried bench test using less activator, which just takes longer to work and less heat.

I think I'll give it a go and just use a small amount. I guess the plastic isn't that thin, so should be ok.

Of course - give it a go.
Yes - had a Z4 3.0s for many years before moving to the F Type. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned..

I had a couple of Z4s over the years before the F Type, a 3L Convertible and a 3L Coupe. They were both brilliant cars!
