v8 engine cover or not?

hello, lot of ppl suggest removing the engine cover, some other says the water will ruine the injectors....so re you guys removing the cover or not?

The cover won’t make a lot of difference to water ingress - I remove mine for warmer months and leave on in cooler months to maybe assist engine warm up.

…then you can gaze at that wonderful engine that looks like some sort of rural French oven 😂

i used some thermal pad on the hood, top of the kompressor just to be safe with the applyed ppf
 
The water ingress issue only applies to RWD cars before the 2nd facelift, i.e. with the original shape headlights. Since this is a 2nd facelift car water ingress should be a non issue so I'd definitely ditch the engine cover.
