Hi yes I am certainly looking forward to that Sunday morning March!<br /><br />I've gone for the black interior and roof, cold climate pack, exterior black pack, black calipers, flat bottomed steering wheel and sports sun visor with mirror. Fifty quid for a vanity mirror on a 70k car?? What's all that about??<br /><br />Went round the houses a bit with the colour but settled on British Racing Green. Not seen many about.<edited><editID>Juliet9</editID><editDate>2015-01-11 18:26:10</editDate></edited>

Nice to see someone going for a convertible... getting a bit bored of people saying to me "I bet you wish you went for the coupe now" errrr no not really<div></div><div> </div><div> </div>

Hello and welcome Juliet9 - 43 sleeps 'till you get it (depending on when you read this!) fab!<div><br></div><div>P.S, You will laugh at the vanity mirror when you get it. The air bag warning labels are bigger than the actual mirror! My dealer threw one in as I couldn't understand why it wasn't a standard fit...</div>

Thanks for the comments and welcomes. I got three years servicing and the bespoke Jaguar luggage set thrown in with what I thought was a pretty good deal anyway. Usual thoughts afterwards though - I should have pushed for more. But I'm happy with the deal. Even the mirror!!<div> </div><div>And I actually think the convertable is a much nicer looking car...</div>

Now the hype of the coupe is dying down a little, it is fair to say that both the coupe and the convertible are both beautiful cars. The coupe suits the all year round driver, the convertible is the warm dry weather driver, that's me !!<div><br></div><div>Having driven the coupe, you can feel that little bit extra stiffness, but with the metal roof the sound is muted, as us convertible drivers know, god she is loud !!</div><div><br></div><div>best Regards</div><div>Jamie</div>

Argh, BRG convertible with Camel was #2 choice but the wife wan't sold on the F-Type in ANY configuration. At the dealer they showed her the boot, salesman pointed out "look how small the boot is on the convertible." Wife turns to me and says "Dear, you HAVE TO BUY THE COUPE." So I did, she told me to.<br><br>Ordered October 30th, expected delivery day is February 20th, 24 days to go and I'm counting EVERY ONE. Time is passing very slow! Dealer just said car could arrive a week earlier! Yeah! Waiting is driving me NUTS. Colonies people have to wait for the long boat ride...<br><br>

<div><br></div><div>Sounds nice, but I think more alcohol should have been added to wifey before the visit to the dealer <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /> - you will miss all that wonderful sound from the exhausts and flies in your teeth!</div>

I've gone for the V6S AWD in BRG, Camel seats and camel Carpet... panoramic roof... :-) Due for collection on 7th April (I'm away 2 months so I cannot collect it earlier... normally it is manufactured in the week of the 20th February and delivered in week 20th March....<div> </div>

<blockquote><blockquote>I think more alcohol should have been added to wifey before the visit to the dealer</blockquote><br><br>Purpose of the visit was to let the sober wife test drive the F-Type. Which she did; great fun, she is a pretty aggressive driver and put her foot down on an on-ramp; looked down seconds later and said "my god I'm doing 90" She tells everyone I'm buying a space ship.<br><br>I did my test drive at Jaguar Performance Driving Academy at Monticello raceway over the summer, 4-5 hot laps in each of the 4 different R-Models lead by professional racing drivers with terrific pedigree. I saved the F-Type R for last. I know the UK has the "heritage experience" -- does the UK have the Performance Driving Academy too??<br>http://www.jaguarusa.com/news-and-events/jaguar-performance-driving-academy/overview.html<br><br>

Can we have a few photos? I suppose it has arrived? Mine arrives this week but as I'm abroad I'm picking it up on the 7th April. 15 days to go <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley17.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Tongue" title="Tongue" />

<blockquote>Sales staff called her the "Silver Bullet." Not sure the name will stick. So far, she has exceeded all my expectations. </blockquote>
<div><br></div><div>I think you need to have a word with the sales staff...fancy calling the wife that <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /></div>
