I’ve been following a black 17 plate 26.500 mile Convertible 400 Sport at Marshall Ipswich, today it has been further reduced to £44k+ .

It looks well specced and looks stunning in the showroom. I’m surprised it’s not been snapped up - can anyone give any insight into this particular vehicle and some observations why it’s still on the showroom floor?

Thanks guys

Peter

Car 47559
Made in 2017, PDI 19th May 2017 but first registered 29th Dec 2017.

I've looked this car up before for someone I'm sure.
FJSH although 4th service doesn't state whether rear diff oil was changed so check that.

Last sold 20th Dec
Been on sale since 6th Jan.
Check front tyres, both fronts appear on MOT advisory.
Check rear pads, mine were low by 30,500 miles.
Looks like 2 previous owners.
Not on Police National Computer.

Had my 400 sport for nearly 5 years/35,000 miles, and nothing to really report other than its the only car I've ever kept in 15 years. I test drove a 380 and didn't notice any difference in the extra 20bhp other than the 400 had my desired spec.

Many thanks - very helpful

I’m not fussed by the extra 20HP, like you I’m more into the better spec and exclusivity of the limited run 400. My present V6S is basic spec and now I know more about the car and the range…….only decision now is do I want another coupe or a convertible!!

Decisions, decisions

Made April 2017,

That's interesting - mine's 49xxx but was built in March 2017. Are the VINs not chronologically sequential?

Im 5003x and was told May.
Might be wrong. I will edit my post then.

I think the standard power output after any decent remap of this engine is around 415 hp. JLR are obviously not the only ones but I always found this whole thing about limiting an engine's natural power capacity with software so ridiculous. My F-Type is my third Jag and the first one I haven't remapped because it's already so close to its full power capacity.

I love the looks and limited run exclusivity of the 400 but can't stand all black interiors so it was not an option when I was looking. I know they all come very well specced but what was actually optional? I think I've seen a 400 coupé with the tin roof suggesting that at least the pano roof was optional. I guess the carbon ceramics were also an option.

What about 14 way seats, some of the earlier cars came with this additional option but I have yet to see a later one- why?
I assume the surround sound is another option??
