In 2011 I was awestruck by the C-X16 Concept Car, I figured if JLR put it into production, my 31 1/2 year relationship with a Triumph TR6 was in trouble. And we know what happened: the Convertible was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 2012 (awesome!). Then in 2013 the F-Type Coupe was introduced at the Los Angeles Motor Show: "This hardtop version of the Jaguar F-Type sports car may be the darling of the show." "A proper Jaguar coupe with all the right curves." "This new droptop sports car overflows with charisma and possesses undeniable character." "F-Type Coupe is a seriously pretty kitty." "The cockpit has a driver-oriented theme, with the passenger given a grab handle--a strong visual cue to the F-TYPE's dynamic intentions." And Architectural Digest: "Light, athletic, and beautifully struck"<br><br>I sold my Triumph TR6 on eBay in October; on October 30th I mailed the title to the TR6 off to the new owner and I drove straight to the dealer to order my F-Type V6 S. 113 days later I've taken delivery of her. Everyone in the forum was right: the wait is harder than you think it's going to be, and the REALITY OF HAVING IT is better than you can possibly imagine.<br><br>Looking forward to many happy miles filled with smiles; and getting through the run-in period quickly and finding lots of open roads....<br><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/434/2_20_Driveway.JPG" height="525" width="700" border="0" /><br><br>

Mike,<div><br><div>Such a smashing colour combination you have chosen as well...similar to the C-X16 minus the red interior. Is it Rhodium with Cirrus seats?</div><div><br></div><div>Surprised you went for a FHC after the TR6? No more wind in the hair!?</div></div>

Rhodium Silver with Cirrus Seats (contrasting Mineral stitching). yeah baby, the Cirrus is whiter than I would like (would have preferred a more grayish hue). BUT WTF: the "Silver Bullet" is gorgeous. Happy to have it home in my garage (even though the weather is really crappy with another 3" of snow today).<br><br>My second choice: BRG with Camel would have been stunning too. No regrets.<br><br>As far as the top-down convertible experience goes: I bought the F-Type for serious highway travel, if I want a convertible again (and I do!), I'll take an early 1960s Chevy Monza Corvair or one of the last of the 4-door convertibles: Lincoln's with suicide doors from 1963-1965. <br><br>The Coupe is great, but I do need to hit the "loud" button to hear the music that all you convertible guys enjoy when the weather is nice enough to put the top down....<br><br><br>

I think that the Cirrus will darken with age - really looks nice. I steered away form the Cirrus with matching carpets for the simple reason I know from experience that the convertibles can get quite dirty inside, and the carpets would be a mare to keep clean.<div><br></div><div>I'm, at a juncture, IRR with Jet/Red or my other fave is Rhodium with Camel, and I'm blowed if I can really decide. The other half says that the red is quite youthful and the silver quite old, fuddy-duddy, but I'm not wholly convinced....decisions, decisions!</div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/332/Screen_Shot_2015-02-21_at_22.12.16.png" height="293" width="700" border="0" /><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/332/Screen_Shot_2015-02-21_at_22.12.45.png" height="301" width="700" border="0" /><br></div><div><br></div><div>You made the right choice with the coupé Mike, long distance driving is pretty noisy in the cab...but fun!</div>

wow - congratulations - the car looks amazing.<div> </div><div>So pleased to hear that its not just me who is counting down the days till my car arrives - 19 sleeps to go and I'm so excited.<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /></div>

<p>
Tel,</p><p>as always taste is very individual but grey/silver and beige colours seem not to match well.... At least in clothing</p><div> </div><div>love the rhodium and cirrus combination. </div>

<p>Hello and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on getting such a lovely car and no doubt you'll be enjoying its presence. Got to wait till the end of May early June before I get my hands on my beloved.</p>

<div><br></div><div>PF, That's actually an interesting point....regarding the clothes. Honestly, with my dress sense it sounds like a great combo!</div><div>FYI - Sticking with the IRR and Jet...but, I do like Ammonite, and Caldera, and would really like a deep blue, but hey!</div><div>Rhodium looks awesome in the flesh with sunlight on it...</div>

Some more pictures; I can't decide to back it into the garage (refinished with epoxy floor and new paint), or just drive it in. Looks great from any angle. Absolutely the best-looking car on the road, everyone loves it.<br><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/434/IMG_1193.JPG" height="525" width="700" border="0" /><br><br><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/434/2_20_garage_2.JPG" height="525" width="700" border="0" /><br><br><br>

I would alternate, front one time, then rear the next :-)<div> </div><div>Then you cover all the options !</div><div> </div><div>Looks Fabulous !</div>
