Upgrade to performance seats from base face lift seats

Finally sourced a seat of performance seats, I will keep the thread updated with a step by step on the process and how it goes in general for anyone thinking of the same

Hi Olly, what year is your car / seats. I'm upgraded my base seats on my MY19 for climate seats, activating heating / cooling etc.

2018, the performance ones are 2017 from a breakers, he wasn’t that helpful but they were a good price and looked clean

Seats have arrived. Found a place that specialises in airbags to refurbish the gone off one as new airbag modules seem to be extremely rare.

Will give them a clean and condition this weekend

They are the same as the seats that I fitted, what is the adjustment on them?

Sadly the breakers chopped through the loom and removed the module. So I need to source a new loom, do you know the part number? Initially I will reuse by existing modules hopefully before maybe getting them programmed through the pathfinder software

You should be able to use the loom from your current seats. I suspect they are 6 way electric adjustment like your current seats.
They should be plug and play with no other mods required. Mine were, the only thing I had to have activated was the climate option.
There will be an option to activate the cushion tilt to make them 8 way, but you will then need to get the option activated.

Hopefully. Although I believe these are the older style connectors and my one being a 2018 might have the new model connectors. I will have a look this weekend. It will make things a lot simpler and cheaper if I can reuse the loom. The seats at heated and cooled so definitely something I will look into later on once I get them cleaned up and in the car.

Worst case I picked up a workshop manual and as it’s just the end piece I can solder new wires on and get the two new connector blocks

If they are heated and cooled you may as well take them to lr chip who will activate your climate and additional adjustment while you wait, they will sort out any wiring issues.
If your current seats aren't heated you'll need the AC control with the heated seat option.
Trust me, it's far far easier and you won't be going around in circles like I was!

They are definitely worth a visit. Re the map, the engine feels less choked, free revving, the gearbox remap was also noticeable. All completed by Celtic tuning.

Which seats are they and where from?

Like most things involving jaguar it’s a little more complicated than first thought. My base spec seats don’t have any modules as they are memory seats so I need to source a seat of modules and a loom

drivers seat, don't know the year as bought as a job lot, but frame and base all new

Do you have a picture of the seat from the top?

@relax what’s your seat module part number? I believe my ones should be c2d49097 and 98 respectively as both have 14 way adjustment

However there is also listed t2r6394 and 92 as 14 way

And t2r6393 and t2r6391 as 4 way

However the manual I have only states 12 way (it’s a 2.0 manual however).

I am not sure if the climate function was only available on certain modules but looking at the wiring diagram is appears to be an independent module?

Figured out the small missing module was the module for the climate seats and they are 12 way adjustable. Just need to source the main modules next
