Union Jack

Union flag sticker received and installed, found it easier to remove spoiler but still managed a few little air bubbles.
It was this or just the word "BYE" that I fancied as the spoiler deployed.

Inspired by the examples here I bought a carbon fibre flag to go with the stealth colour. Absolute devil to get on and I’ve still got wrinkles, but at a sensible braking distance behind the car they are unnoticeable. Easiest way for me to fit it was to lift the spoiler, open the hatch so the spoiler is now vertical, then apply the vinyl from a stepladder. Now to work on an LED to light it up at night…

Hi everyone, hope you are all good. I picked up on this post and think displaying the Union Jack is a great idea. I went to the trouble of removing my spoiler to measure up and this is what I have come up with so far, just looking for a bit of feedback.

Looks great, shape looks bang on. Personally I wouldn't curve the stripes but that's obviously preference.

Well it's almost done, took your advice and went for straight lines and I'm pleased I did

Looks really really good. Glad you got rid of the curves as well because it kinda reminded me of the German Luftwaffe insignia lol

Finished job. Have to admit that I thought it might have been a little more visible but overall I'm in pleased with the end result.

Being a Seafarer and not a landlubber, I would like to put my pedantic head on, and state that it's:

Union Flag!

...not Union Jack! (Unless your car is a grey Frigate!).

That's not quite the story behind the term, you can have your own opinions, but not your own facts

(Btw, even if you wanted it your way, it wouldn't just be called that on grey Frigates ;) )

As a freebie from the Dealership I got the Union Jack Pack fitted on handover~ a nice touch that makes the car a little more special 😀IMG_3207.jpegIMG_3205.jpegIMG_3206.jpeg

"In an argument almost as old as the flag itself, the British public have been asking “Is it the Union Jack, or the Union Flag?”

Finally, after much research on the topic, the Flag Institute of the UK have published a report, and their view.

The document, “Union Flag or Union Jack?” is a 12 page summary looking at the question itself, the historical sources and references of both flag names, how each came into being, and thankfully, a conclusion that may once and for all answer the question."

Their views and conclusions are as valid as mine, they just reported on it ;)
