Under tray removal

The V6 S also has the small junction box under the driver's side (UK) front wheel arch.

Although I knew it was there, I was unaware of the corrosion issues inside so thanks to Tel for the tip!

Removed the junction box cover yesterday and cleaned out the small stones etc.......not a great deal of corrosion on the stud and connections.

I brushed off the dust etc then applied 2 separate coats of black smooth hammerite and today covered with high melting point grease.

Hi Guys, sorry for dragging up an old topic, Will cut to the shot version.. I thought this was a grounding nut as it came up in one of the searches i was doing trying to get my car to start as its just giving me a "click" - anyway i connected this bolt to the negative on my main battery - got an initial spark and pop and then "silent" - i convinced myself all is well and attempted to start the car- unfortunatly it made no difference to my main issue - but now im wondering if i have created a new one - its not flashing up anything significant and everything seems to still be "working" but without the ability to start the car / drive the car / test the car im in the dark. .. what connects at this junction incase i need to start going fuse hunting..

Wow, thats a fundamental error!, what cable spec did you use to connect from that stud to the Battery?

If I have the right stud (As I dont have the F-Type electrical connection location Diagram to be sure) it's "BLUE/RED" -> C11BH-C11BJ -> "BLUE", and is the power cable to the power steering.

Check your EPAS (Electronic Power Steering) Fuse in the right hand engine Junction box!... I think it;s an 80Amp, and (if you are lucky) you may find you have just vapourised it... (that'll be the Pop you heard)

Guess you wouldn't know till you can drive it.
